PKO goes open beta this friday!

The Closed Beta phase of Pirate King Online is about to come to an end. There will be a scheduled character wipe once the server is shut down on 22nd September, Friday @ 10am GMT + 8 to prepare for the Open Beta which will begin on the 22nd of September, Friday @ 7pm GMT + 8.



We would like to take this opportunity to thank all our gamers who participated in the Closed Beta and for all the valuable feedback and suggestions that they have given us. We would also like to welcome everyone back to re-live the fun and adventure in our Open Beta phase with many more interesting quests, events and contests planned for everyone!



With the Open Beta launch, this also means that the game will be openly available to all players around the globe to register online and play. There will no longer be anymore character wipes and will remain free to play forever.

I couldn't stand playing for more than 5 minutes due to the HORRIBLE camera system. If they fix it, it might be good, but until then, no way am I touching this game.

I had a good time playing it. I didn't grind though....I did mostly quests. I lvled up fast that way

I couldn't stand playing for more than 5 minutes due to the HORRIBLE camera system. If they fix it, it might be good, but until then, no way am I touching this game.

You're not meant to share your preenstablished opinion if you "didn't stand playing it for more than 5 minutes". By making all your judgments based on merely your initial thoughts about the game, you prove absolutely nothing to us.

So you enjoyed the first 5 minutes of content, and you didn't like it?
Wow, that's great! What about the other two weeks of content most gamers will see, the content that you didn't even bother going through before forming your so called opinion. I mean, god, it's like going "This car sucks" by looking at the wheels and the colour of it. Sure, you can go ahead and reason like that, but don't freaking share your twisted logic unless you want to appear as a complete '****.

They probably looked at their little schedule and that's exactly what went through their heads. "Hey, something else is happening this weekend. Lets throw up a really big event for our game at the same time, so we get as few people as possible."

In contradiction to what most kids on Onrpg will claim, something always happends. Perhaps not the launch of a demo expansion for a several years old game, but people's lives are usually occupied that fills out the 2 day holes at the end of the week.

Sorry to say I wont be playing this game due to the way the camera is angled either.. The game seems cool with nice features but I like being able to see more then 10 to 15 feet ahead of me when I'm running around.. I dislike having to look at a radar so much in a MMORPG just to see where I'm going.. I usually find my way around a MMORPG by seeing land marks ahead of me and in this game I cant really do that because the camera is angled at the ground and everything looks the same on the ground.. But to those who like the game enjoy!!

On the 3rd day of CB, it was discovered how to tweak the camera angle. Like a day later, a player-made fix was made to give the game a more 3d feeling.

1 word for u..noob...5-6 hours for me is like to little time...this games is cool when get higher lvl like 20+. Buy a ship, do quest, pk, salvaging...and much more...probably u think this game boring bcuz ur aint a fan of anime style mmorpg...

Don't know if this is relevant but there is such a thing called a first impression. It's normal for people (human beings) to form first impressions of things. When you see a fat lady (extremely fat) flirting with you, your first impression is that she has a different physical build and you will form an impression of her build before discerning if such a build is to your liking.

First impressions are VERY important in life. And I feel he had the right to form such a first impression. If the mid-game content is much better than it's his loss because he made such a first impression. You can't critic people's first impression because this is what they think of another... Basing your critics on the way you function is kind of immature...

Different people form different "first impressions" and it is up to them to have impressions that goes with the flow or against. The mind is complex so everyone isn't a you clone. Moreover it's ironic because many people have such an impression too...

Just felt like expressing because I felt your posts are very impolite and such...

Anyway back on topic. PKO wasn't really a treat for me, it was pretty "unbalanced" because all hunters did was stand behind a rock and whack while we melees have to keep healing and thus the huge level difference.

I do agree on the camera angle though, maybe it's cause I played in the first few days of CB so the player fix hadn't come... But still it was really bad for playing... (Should have been fixed anyway.)

AS for content I have no idea how fun it is, the grinding just took it away for me.

Yes, that move was pretty stupid. At first I was excited about this until you reminded me that it was at the same time. Maybe I will play PKO another time though.
