I figured out my issue. When I opened the file and then saved it, it apparently did not save in the correct format. Dunno why. Just using the mediafire file made it work for me, though.

And kite, you don't need to redownload. After you've fully downloaded and installed the game, there will be an option that looks exactly like this,

Click that and it will uninstall the game but keep the downloaded files. Then, go into the game directory (E:\GamesMailRu\Distrib\packages\skyforge_beta\sky forge_betadistrib19 for me). Delete the file called "manifest.xml" Then download this file and place it in that folder. Right click the new file and choose "Properties" and make sure that "Read-Only" is checked/selected. If it isn't, select/check it and hit apply, then OK/close. Then go back and hit the green button in the launcher to re-install the game. After it's done installing, hit the green button again to launch and it will be in English.

So what's so special about this game? Looks like GW2 to me.

Well that's the thing. A f2p GW2 is just what most of us are looking for plus this game will probably have stuff to do end game unlike GW2.

Really? I'd prefer B2P over any F2P with shitty cash shop.

The cash shop doesn't have to be like that. It can be only vanity items like good MMO's do these days. Plus I can't find games that are worth to buy or pay monthly for them these days. WoW is a no no for me after WoTLK and Swtor is too expensive with all the unlock crap.

Pvp doles out a pretty decent amount of sparks.
Also, it's not often that you see an MMORPG with instanced FFA Pvp.

Though is does kind of devolve down to gangbanging and kill stealing.

Sure it doesn't, but in most cases they are pretty bad. Every developer that's all loud and pompous about their cash shop before release "oh only cosmetic items in our shop!!!", then it's pretty much the complete opposite. After recent few disappointments (mostly ArcheAge), I just don't have a single percent of trust in F2P MMORPGs anymore. I prefer paying per month or one time fee and never have to worry about the cash shop, even if the game doesn't really deserve the monthly fee.

to me, it feels like a more "realistic" PSO. the open world areas are really gorgeous.
the gameplay could be better, it's pretty much GW2 but with more interaction due to lower skill cooldowns and manual attacks.

i do really like the leveling system though, you get points to spend on a crystarium-ish tree (ff13) and then you can upgrade your item slots (weapons, rings). it's similar to TSW but instead of being allowed to pick skills from any tree yr locked to 1 tree but free to switch at any time.

the auction house system is also really interesting, dealing in several kinds of currencies. credits are used for the most common while there are more uncommon currencies used for costumes and stuff. pretty neat.

since when doesn't gw2 have an end-game just because there aren't raids doesn't mean there is no end-game. no wonder developers don't want to bring out the sandbox mmos if people still think like this.

To me, it feels like a mix of POE, PSO, and Vindictus. On top of that, it somehow gives me a City of Heroes vibe. I guess because you're almost like a Superhero in the game?

Yeah, I was actually thinking the same exact thing.

That aside, I really hate executes in pvp. It just feels really ****ing dumb. Especially with lightbringers and cyromancers because they can do it from range. If you get bursted below 20% health in pvp then you're pretty much done.

At the very least I think shields should prevent executes. Getting executed through Aegis of Light just makes me want to punch my screen.

When your lightning bar is full, your next impulse capable attack (Pretty much any damage based ability or right click attack) will do extra damage based on your impulse damage stat.
Strength increases the minimum damage range for every class. It's not tied to melee.

Russia is just cheap overall. ArcheAge sub was like 7 or 8€ in RU version.

The only problem i have with the game is that weapons don't change appearance , just stats -.- ......................... You also get a few pre-made costumes as in cash shop costumes for free , and that's it , there is nothing that shows how your character visually developed >.< .

According to CB testers, there will be other weapon models in the future. They're just not made yet

first impressions are pretty poopy. repetitive combat, tiny maps instead of a large open world, completely pointless character progression (why have a skill tree like that if you can go only develop in one direction, as if after a few bottles of vodka and some rough sex with a bear some Ivan from the Allods team probably thought that if people liked it in Path of Exile they will like it in their game completely disregarding the fact that the reason it worked in PoE was because there were many development paths to take), lack of open world pvp

reminded me of cabal online, which is grade-A shovelware trash, except with prettier graphics

I found the game fun, but it definitely began to get a bit repetitive after hour five or six. More options would be nice, and I really do not feel like an immortal on his way to godhood. I just felt like a superhero, which is cool but there are other games on the market that do it a lot better.

Dunno, though. Time will tell. I might buy a founder packs. How much in USD is the cheapest one?

The Paladin, Cyromancer, and Lightbringer paths aren't the entirety of the Ascension atlas. They're all just single nodes on the larger picture. Here is the actual ascension atlas:

What do the letters stand for? And how do the individual trees for each class fit into it? Is the whole of the Cyro tree contained in the "CR" dot, and once you've completed it you move onto the next dot? Or?
