Unless it's changed in the past few months, Groot was only about $3 when he first dropped. I don't know how he is compared to the others as I mostly use Magik for the passive summons, but something is better than nothing.
[EDIT]: Yeah, Groot is only 350g or 200 splinters. His passive is some health and DR apparently.
