It's best to start now than later because this is the last content patch till the next expansion. I've started playing again after Heavensward was on sale on Amazon a few months ago so I had a lot of catching up to do too, But it was worth it. Heavensward is a great expansion and I really like the Astroligian Healer.

nah i mean i did all the heavensward stuff and all ... but all the new extreme bosses and such ... i forgot how to tank lool is all good maybe i will come back on new expansion then

Not entirely true, there is going to be another 3.5 patch which will have content like a new 24 man raid/2 new regular tomestone dungeons/an ex primal.

But when it comes to high end raid content (alexander raid) this patch was indeed the last one.

On that note, killed A12Savage 4 days after it launched, I can take a break for 7-8 months now till the expansion launches .

The last fight was pretty damn rough but we bit through it and cleared it on our second day of real progression.
You do have to keep in mind these are 10-12 hour days of progress on just that 1 fight, so it's not like we did it in a single 90 minute lockout.

m8 congrats i know how rought progression is on FFXIV ... i went trough whole coil and then did some alex and then somewhere in middle i quit for ... reasons mostly cuz my raid group split up and well i still think of coming back but i might just wait for new expansion

Thanks! It was a ton of fun in the end though, well worth all the time spent progressing.
This tier has also been made a lot easier than the previous 2, this is a bit more coil level rather than gordias or midas.

u dont happen to be in a FC called RISE do you? i remember we used to be all in the same FC with other onrpg members, but i cant remember anymore when, what server, what fc and which version of FFXIV that was lol.

its a lot of fun, but sometimes i find the game has just too many skills lol. i had to redesign my whole ui and keybindings multiple times to not make it hard on myself.
this is what i run with now, my goal in mmo's is always to have the UI as minimal and compact as possible. since the minimap is useless i put my main map over it which helps 100x better for questing, and warping too because u can click on aetherites on the map itself.
the big buttons are important situational skills (<20% hp and available on crit skills)
the tiny verticle bar on the bottom right is for skills and actions i can use on all classes, or just skills i just turn on and never look at again. (running, mounting, assist tank target etc)

I promised myself that I will only go back if Samurai class is available. If they reveal it then I will play XIV forever.

These Vouchers are being sold to pretty much VAC ALL dungeon mobs into a pile and kill them with one shot each im still not sure if this is bought from cash shop or npc ingame..But why destroy dungeon farming? P2W much?

i heard the next tier of skills is coming out for tree of savior.
have they made any other changes since release, like polishing gameplay or new zones/quests?

- random fun fact, the current storyline of FFXIV is over 400 quests, and most of them have cutscenes,
i finaly went trough almost all of them in 20 days lol.
- another random funfact, queuing up for a random dungeon as DPS in WoW on one of the most popular alliance servers (Proudmoore) averagely took me 20-40 minutes, while in FFXIV (Gilgamesh) this is half the time for me.

Teaser Trailer for the next expansion was just released. And seeing as how its seems like it will be very Asian inspired I wouldn't be surprised that one of the 2 New Classes they are adding is the Samurai. The other class is very likely Red Mage. There is also the possibility that it could be Blue Mage and Red Mage :T
