playing some good old trickster, the 2d game with the most detail and atmosphere :3

edit: its insane how much interaction the playtrickster website has with this game now.
* theres a auction house where anything goes galder<>cash | items<>cash items and any combination of that.
* you can transfer any galder or items/cash items trough the website whether it is between your own account or other accounts with private links.
* you can do any type of tempering and compounding without the need of a high luck based fox.
* it gets even better.. you can claim levelup rewards trough the website and job up rewards. these come in the form of milions of galder, free cash shop items, accessories that add 7000 weight and go on.
*you can move, manage and fix characters.






edit: just wanted to get a little more indepth on their site features. this is probably useless for those not known to trickster online though :P

bellow here are the achievement rewards. what really stands out here is the 2x5mil galder check reward for changing your job. with 350% xp the game is at you can make that pretty fast, so its a great way for new/old players to make some galder this way.


next are the levelup rewards. i havent checked the feather charm yet but it sounds like a sprint item that increases your movement speed.
the level 30 moon bracelet EV is amazing because it adds 7k WT, eliminating any weight issue's power types have to deal with.
store more permits and all the box items are all free cash shop goodies.


daily login reward event thats currently going on, which gives you free cash shop gacha boxes every day. u pick a card and you get a random power/magic/sense/charm box of what seems to be random levels.


all these features can be accessed trough the manage account section, and then selecting event

so many afk drillers xD i heard theres people around here who's TM level is 50 over their base lol, because they are digging all the time.


my favorite chillout spot in the game is still great for making money :P


edit: made another video for this game, i ended up shooting it in 3 different resolutions to make it look good lol. its a bunch of raw gameplay cuts troughout my adventure showing my little lion gunner, some features, areas and lovely music.

I'm left handed wasd movement num7 atack num8 jump num9 backstep and skills nearby (left hand movement like in any game and right hand skills/atack )

uthgard relunch is real. 12 (?) days since relunch (beta is over) and the
people go crazy. Server Queues for 2 weeks now and they start to make the server
bigger and bigger to reduce it and the good thing. Its totaly stable and perfect.
It feels alive like in DAoC first days. No...much more people! Best time to go back in time guys.

yeah i know what you mean, i like playing alone but i prefer to be in some guild for chatting at the very least, plus unlimited party quests are great xp. right now i dual client with 2 accounts to do them xD

also for new/f2p players, do you see that little penguin on the mid right of this shot? always kill them! they do not fight back and only run away, stun you(at<50%hp), or teleport to a random location in the map after you hit it. they always have 10hp, and you always do 1 damage. they can be found on any map. if you kill them they often drop a GM lucky bag that contain a lot of galders, a cash shop Store More Permit which is AWESOME! and today i got a bag with 5 GM gift certificates in it which also can be exchanged for some crazy overpowered gear. these items are worth milions on the web auctionhouse too.




and its time to drill up the stones needed for a Harkon, for my 3rd job advancement



i decided to do a little crafting on the level 30 WT(weight) accessory you get by levelup event and got pretty lucky. by tempering i got a 1.4k WT added, then i drilled for book bags in phantom school and compounded another 3481WT in it. kinda makes me want to roll a WT based fox lol, but nah.

I love Trickster a shit ton, it was sad to the developers ditch the game.
It's great that there is playstrickster and that they added a ton of features which the dev/publishers should have had from the start.

My only concern is that is there any more than what the dev's have left us with? The game goes up to a certain point and thats it since official Trickster is gone

from what i understand a lot of things are hardcoded and cannot be changed indeed. however it DID get its season 2 update at some point which is post-massive-revamp. and from the looks if it right now even episode 6 can be accessed which is what the original trickster had/has.(this is the finale) ontop of that the devs definitely managed to make some custom content but again im not that far yet :P (i seen items and npcs that do not originally belong)

from the looks of it this version is even better than the original server because
1: all the website features and freebies that come with it. i mean a 30% move speed permanent sprint at level 10, and a 7k WT accessory that also boosts TM% gained just for hitting level30? yes please. not to mention the free mileage that starts rolling in after 130, which pretty much guarantees you to get a kitty sprint (70% movespeed) for all possible levels.
2: long running and some permanent events going on. (no bullshit waiting all year for driller boy/girl to show up in the cash shop lol)
3: better experience rates that feel just right.
4: dirt cheap cash prices. 15 bucks gets you about 40k ms. from what i remember this was 15k in eTO. as much as i love the game, its pay to win as ****, anyone can see that, so its nice it offers some cheaper, and even free alternatives.
i could probably list a ton more but these are the main things that i could think about.


edit: just went full nerd mode, 3 accounts for this party quest lol.

incase anyone wonders why, the more people join a party quest, the bigger the kill count needed, but also the bigger the reward gets. but the best thing is, lets say 3 people need to kill 90 monsters, if all 3 kill 30 the reward is split, but if one kills 90, he gets it all!

finally got the game to run lol, apparently it only likes to run on 1024 resolution hahahaa.
how much does alexandrite go for the ah?

you need to mod the resolution if you want to run it on a specific res, but it can run on any resolution possible. im running my game on 1280x720, its not too big and not too small. high resolutions make it look nicer and more zoomed out, but also harder to click on stuff since everything is so tiny/zoomed out :P standard 1920x1080 should work if your sitting right infront of your screen though.

ahh kk, I made the mistake of opening one of those GM bags from the penguin things and it gave me 3 alexandrite which caused me to be overweight lol so i just dropped that shiet cause i wasnt even lvl 10 yet to access the bank.

I started playing it. I've never played daoc before so I expect the learning curve to be a little daunting. I'm trying out playing a Warden (Hibernia). Looks like you are from Midgard, I'm guessing it's impossible for us to group?
