oh well i had a blast, maybe ill play trough it again and see if anything changed besides the background lol
i have a ton of screenshots i would like to share, but i wont because i like to keep this one spoiler free for others.
the story had some holes i felt which im still trying to put together, but everything else was just amazing. I've already mentioned before that i instantly recognized 2B's voice actress as Mikasa from Attack on Titan, a anime i truly love. but it wasn't until the very end till i also started to recognize the voice actor for 9S as Kaneki Ken from Tokyo Ghoul. now this is a anime i truly DISLIKE, so it comes to a surprise to me i even managed to put those 2 together lol. His screams that make a chill go down your spine, his intelligence and hopelessness is all reflected so well in his voice you almost forget he is just a character.
2b and 9s's english voices on the other hand seem slightly off to me and lack that same kind of emotion, it sounds cheesy and acted. (edit: still the voices for all the robots and others are pretty good in english as well)
edit: and a little music
another one of my favorites, it sounds so mysterious i love it!

Reputation: 482Grats man. Finally beat the the prologue on Hard. Now that I know the patterns I'm seriously debating going back a doing it on Very Hard lol but I want to enjoy the game as an RPG first. Been taking my time with it since I've been also playing Zelda and Horizon.
Gonna go for all the endings?

i just picked up the breath of the wild 2 days ago as well, and its a very beautiful relaxing game with so many interesting things to explore and do lol.
but.. as always i have to complain about a game negatives, and i discovered 2 that actually really piss me off right now.
problem 1: they took the time to put a spook system in the game on animals you hunt, then why the hell were they also programmed to despawn if you tail them for a while? often times a stupid mountain goat just despawns infront of me while i'm shooting it... like wtf is that about?
problem 2 and my biggest problem: This game punishes skillful players with a terrible durability system. Example.. i'm exploring around and suddenly i see a very strong enemy that kills me in 1 hit on my path. I decide to put my skills to the test and learn the dodge/counter mechanics in this game and after a while it works out. now this is how a real fun boss fight should be right? now we can proceed to killing the creature! ...but no, one by one my weapons break while i fight him till there's nothing but my useless fists left, and my legs to run out of there. no reward nothing.. sure i could just come back later with stronger weapons, but where is the fun in that? i'll just be killing him in a couple hits at that point.
i find the latter problem a huge overlooked design flaw that will definitely impact my opinions about this game overtime.
Reputation: 482Really eerie the first time you encounter it lol.
While it does kind of suck, it's the game's way of punishing you for being extra loud. Try a more low key approach and you'll find over time this is not as much of an issue.but.. as always i have to complain about a game negatives, and i discovered 2 that actually really piss me off right now.

Don't forget bow & arrows and bombs, they still do damage. But the durability system is in place to keep people from going to one of the areas with more powerful weapons and just steamrolling through everything with an unbreakable weapon, since you pretty much can go anywhere. The game is designed so that most encounters are optional, allowing you to mark a particular location and return prepared. There's often enough weapons around in the local area to provide you with what you need to tackle enemies as well. Honestly after a point, you'll have more than you'll ever use and end up chucking a lot of stuff with better replacements or stuff you personally like. It's only in the beginning that you need to pick and choose your battles carefully. And enemies remain strong enough to one shot you for quite some time so trust and believe you'll always be on your toes.problem 2 and my biggest problem: This game punishes skillful players with a terrible durability system. Utilizing sneak attacks and weapon break bonus damage is also a great way to dispatch foes.

You know when you get that dazed feeling if you watched a really good movie and cant stop thinking about it for hours? Well i came to the realization that NieR: Automata has that effect on me now for almost 2 weeks. During that time i started Zelda Breath of the wild, and that was a bad decision. Its not like i dislike the game, its just that my mind is waaaaaaaay elsewhere. So here i am again with another play trough of Nier automata... lol
I guess you could say i'm caught in Yoko Taro's magic spell, and he won't let me out it until i absolutely 100% the game.
If i have one regret about this game, (besides all the invisable walls) it's my own misjudgment of thinking it would be just another flashy Bayonetta style action game when i first started playing. The story is so deep that you are allowed, no.. should question everything you are, you see, or do. a couple minor examples: who is this main protagonist 2b? why does she have to look so sexy? why is everyone blindfolded? why do those machines attack me? why do those machines leave me alone? everything has a logical explanation and perfectly fits in the lore. It's very hidden, especially in the first 40-60 hours of the game, but after that its all there...
so all this just got me hungering for even more information i missed and made me play trough the entire game again from scratch.
(random fanboy rambling /off)
so yeah anyway, heres a 3 hour video, chapter 3-5 ish. not too much lore reveals, couple of bosses, couple of sidequests, little rusty at the start cause i havent played in a while (zelda messed with my control memory lol) but quickly gets better.
(edit: i added time stamps in the description to make watching it a little more interesting)
