Some Stories Are Just Way Better In My Head!
Reputation: 882ok after 5 days not hearing from cust**** support i said fk it and just made a new account. i dont know how but somehow i was able to claim the Prime with Prime loot again on this account. i guess you need to login at least once before its claimable so that was lucky. I like the look of the game so far but it has a unnecessarily big learning curve thanks to UI elements tucked away in the weirdest places, its a hot mess really. theres some cool looking tutorial screens but half the time they dont have the info i'm looking for.
as for gameplay, so far its amusing. very easy thanks to overpowered mods early on but thats ok, i like feeling powerful. by equiping a upgraded +200% shield and a armor mod it already made me feel like a one man army lol. right now im mostly just using my free heat sword, slicing and dicing everything in half.
as for the whole platinum market thats thrown in your face with every menu you open, or the 12-72 hour craft times on new gear, i dont really have a opinion on them just yet. ill see how far i can get with what i have, and with how often i feel the need of crafting something.
this little friend is the first thing i crafted, took 12 hours. but seeing him float there in my ship is awesome! this right here is probably what i like most about the game right now lol, having your own little ship floating in space where you can chill and craft. and the fact that everything is customable by color pallets, your ship interior, exterior, your weapons, yourself.. everything lol.

Reputation: 482Many dislike the crafting times (I did when I first started) but it's not much of an issue once you gain enough materials to craft a lot of items all at once, and learn how to make platinum through trades. You will only really need platinum for more inventory slots (buy these as you need them) Orokin Catalyst and Reactors on occasion and they are not that expensive. If you like Warframe and are seriously considering playing it long term, if you do happen to get a 75% platinum discount, considering buying some specifically for the things I mentioned above. You can get enough to last you a good while and it is a good deal.
Warframe does have a pretty high learning curve, and the difficulty will quickly ramp up so don't be afraid to ask people for help. I'll let you enjoy your path to true power, but feel free to ask me if you have any questions. There is a lot to learn.
Incidentally I just got done making a video about one of the builds I use for my favorite frame.
oh okey gw2 okey

Reputation: 882those GW2 shots look tasty. sadly the game just isn't my cup of tea and i tried many times lol. I can't seem to make a single character that fits me, nor do i like the voice acting of my char.
next to warframe i have been screwing around in idle/semi-idle games lately and found some boring but also fun ones between them.
so far i tried:
cookie clicker, but that was a long time ago. this started the whole genre i think lol
clicker heroes, this is the most popular one with the most content, but god i hate the graphics lol.
adventure capitalist, too much paywalls thrown into your face and too slow paced.
time clicker, unique approach to idle games, but got boring fast for me.
next i started looking for similar games that were slightly less idle based, but still very minimal.
the enchanted cave 2 (5$ on steam), this is exactly like the mines from Stardew Valley, except its turn based, and more loot based. every 10 floors you get a checkpoint but to leave the dungeon you need to find wings in a chest. also only artifact gear can be returned outside the dungeon, the rest you lose. if you die you lose the whole run. sounds roguelike but its actually very mild. completed level 100 2 days ago.
Now yesterday i found a little gem which is exactly what i was looking for to kill time. its called Soda Dungeon lol. despite its ridiculous name it has amazing pixel art and music, is completely free (on steam) and can be played both actively for more survival, or passive if you just want gold. this is definitely one of the best semi-idle games i know of.

Reputation: 580The only problem i have with the game is the money making. Cant get into crafting , i spent about 100 gold to max my tailoring from 1 to 500 but i cant find any use for it to make some income .
So i'm stuck doing world events and Fractures to grind for gold. Found skins in Encryption Boxes that sell for 100+ gold , made quite a lot doing that.
Even stooped so low as to buy gems and turn them into gold... Oh well , really love this new expansion.

Many ppl end up doing the gem>gold exchange ... if u cant play the game 24/7 making some stuff is to impossible... i made 2 legendaries in like 1.5k hours of non stop farming for mats... for my 3rd i said just enough and did some exchange to finish it... its how it is ... but hot tarir event gave a lot of gold like 100g daily or every 2 days ^^

Reputation: 882i gotto say the more i play Warframe, the better it gets. after not really feeling like i have a goal for the first few days and being worried about the crafting system, it now starts to give me a better picture. at first i thought you were limited to 1 craft with a long timer on it but turns out you can craft many things at once if you have the materials and blueprints. Then i learned your main rank flies up very fast by simply leveling each gun and warframe to 30. and with 1k platinum in my pocket that gave me a goal. to craft everything i can, every primary, secondary, melee and once i can, warframe. i'll use every single platinum i bought on inventory slots. this way i can level up my main rank fast and experiment with everything. which so far has been a great experience.
just got my first archframe too, which lets you fly around in space and from what i seen also in the new open world update soon. only did one mission so far and got destroyed hard because my controls/sensitivity were all over the place lol, but just for a game to have so many different gameplay genre's in 1 is awesome. (their updates seem to be so wild i wouldn't be surprised if one day they link everything into 1 big universe where you fly from planet to planet yourself to do missions on foot.. wait that sounds like No Man's Sky xD except in this game it would definitely work)
I have mostly you to thank Kashis for making me enjoy this game now ;P
it will be a while before i get to craft my first warframe, but the foundry is rolling :P also spend some credits on 2 Distilling Extractor's by spamming these clan(?) related missions that reward 12k each time. seems i cant even use 2 till rank 5 lol. but after reading some up it looks like i'm on the right track having multiple extractors for hp reasons.
so far this is still my strongest weapon, the mod setup works out great and i just slice and dice trough anything on the first 3 planets.
i started leveling the dual heat swords after this, but i dont like how basic attacks lock your movement lol. i love the ability to keep moving on a single blade.
also i got like 20 different stance mods, but NOT 1 for a sword type lol. im curious to see how they change gameplay but until then im spin attacking like no tomorrow :P glad i bound my crouch key to Q or else my pinky would have fallen off from pressing ctrl every half second.

Reputation: 482Lol welcome to the joy of Warframe =P. A lot of folks are hoping that we get a more Archwing based content, but it looks like PoE will be a great start. They've already said a second open world is in the works as well so who knows what the future will hold.
Craft everything you can is really the best strategy starting out. Boosting your Mastery Rank will have a number of significant benefits that you'll discover down the line. As long as you keep crafting and keep doing all the missions on each planet and Junctions to unlock new areas, you'll do fine. It also sounds like you are getting into Syndicate missions, if so also good lol. They will be more useful to you as you progress through the game. Do the daily syndicate missions when you can, and advance them ASAP.
You won't get any sword stances for a while, they come from other areas and can be a lil more rare to get.
Sounds like you are doing good and having fun so far. Let me know if have any questions or run into any roadblocks.
Reputation: 882cant wait to start fishing lol! back when i played vindictus i spend days har**** fishing, stealing everybody's big fish xD ever since then i wanted another game with spear/har**** fishing in it

sofia is so funny
I was a big fan of GW2 but, after many updates... it's not the same game and I just quit for good.
Now I'm enjoying BDO SA, the translation is not that good, sometimes they use different words for the same item like ash tree, they call sometimes "Freixo" and other times "Árvore Cinza", the second one is wrong. But, I'm enjoying it.

Reputation: 882you got some nice shiny mods :P have yet to find a legendary.
this game really rewards nolifers well lol, took about 50 hours but the warframes are finally rolling in

Reputation: 482You'll get a few soon no worries.
Warframe is all about dat grind man, free to do as much as you like lol. I wish I had put a bunch of stuff in the oven like you did when I first started playing; didn't know if there were any down sides/risk of loss. Was doing stuff one at a time for mad long lol.
Good to see you doing well and exploring though. You got Trinity & Rhino as well?
Edit:
It's here~

Reputation: 882the fishing and mining are a lot of fun in the new Plains of Eidolon update.
sadly however i have been stuck for the past 48 hours on the rank 9 mastery test, so nothing really interests me anymore. i'm on my quitting point.
i practiced it over 30 times, manage to pass it multiple times. then i actually attempt it and everything is completely different. i never get detected killing the middle guy on stage 3 in practice mode, on the actual run however i get detected 100% of the time
haven't felt this much frustration since Let It Die to be honest.
Reputation: 482Glad you are enjoying it PoE. It is pretty fun; it kinda feels a bit like Monster Hunter to me lol.
The MR 9 Test is more of a struggle now that you can't use abilities. The good news about your MR test is that while you may be stuck, any MR XP you earn from leveling up stuff carries over to the next rank, so it is possible to rank up quickly once you do pass the test.
Now some tips for passing the test.
1) Tag your target
You can use the Place Marker feature to tag an enemy from a distance. This allows you to track the targets as they move around the field and allows you to observe their path, even when your view is obstructed.
2) Attack from above
There are pillars on the field that you can use to not only survey the area and watch the enemies undetected, you can even attack enemies from above by jumping down directly onto them and hitting them with a slam attack as they pass by. You can climb on top of the pillars by using Bullet Jumps and Wall Dashes.
3) Attack from afar.
Glaive can be used to hit enemies from a distance by utilizing the Charge Attack. When combined with the previous tips, you will be able to snipe targets safely out of view.
Don't give up, you'll get it. Take your time.
Reputation: 882thanks man, just knowing im still getting xp even though im capped is a great motivation to not give up just yet. but im still very disappointed about the rank up system and having to wait 24 hours on failing lol. on top of that im just terrible at stealth in games so i wonder how many days this is gonna take me. the most frustrating part is that the practice run and real deal seem to be so different. i always throw my glaive at the middle guy in test 3 as soon it spawns, but when i did this in the real test i got detected 3 times in a row. ill try the 'standing on pillar' approach but i have been caught a few times even on the test2 area ledge, from test 3 enemies. i feel like this test went trough a lot of patches to make it harder. since ive also seen youtube videos where people were able to crouch at the start of the test3 area without being detected.
somehow i feel like the practice run and real run are on 2 different patch builds, they are on edge way more in the real test. sometimes randomly reacting to even the sound of my glaive.
edit: some relaxed fishing and mining
(i was mining the wrong way in this video though :P figured out youre suposed to follow the white dots)
