nice man hope you having fun :P i forgot to ask in the dauntless thread but did they ever wipe after CB?

Yes, there was one last wipe just before the open beta dropped. It's fine though, with the changes in place it's way easier to progress in the game.
Enjoy this gif of someone hunting a Skarn.

Reputation: 882this is another one of those beautiful games published by chucklefish i'm looking forward to. their games has been sort of a hit and miss for me so far but i think i'll like this one. it surely is bursting of atmosphere:
some more sceneric screenshots from WoW Pandaria. even though they revamped most of the original world (with cataclysm i think?) you can really see the graphical differences if you compare it with the pandaria zones lol
i like the idea of a game becoming graphically more appealing as you progress. usually it's the other way around since the further you progress in games the more everything ends up in ruin lol. snow maps and volcanic areas have always been the endgame-zone standard in general which often look so boring.

Honestly, the animal taming for pets and mount in this game is way more fun then it has any right to be, especially with how over the top the mounts get.
Reputation: 882Moonlighter has its core mechanics in place. there's the figuring out the price of loot and selling it part, and the dungeon crawling part, and that's all it has to offer sadly. it feels barely like an early access title right now and i'd say its not worth the 20$. you can't enter other people's houses. dialogue is lackluster. you cant see the quantity of items you own while buying from the merchant and are stuck buying one at a time. while it forces you to constantly manage your limited inventory space there is no way to auto sort. i encountered various basic bugs that were so obvious they shouldn't be in the game like when u swap the 2 attack buttons for heavy swords you cant even enter your own house anymore lol. often times i went deeper in the dungeon and just ended up on a glitched floor, unable to do anything.
i think a lot of these bugs were patched out a few days ago maybe.. but still it's probably better to wait and see how this game will develop (if it does). the devs said to offer long lasting support so thats good. it could have so much more features like pets, mining, farming etc. there are already items in the game like botany books and fertilizers that drop from dungeons, but their only purpose is selling them.. did they scratch farming at the last second?
the balance of the game is also completely out of control, i spend the first dungeon struggling like hell, wondering how i'll ever make money. then before i even hit the 4th dungeon i had purchased all possible upgrades in town and still had a milion to spare.. hard mode turned into easy-one-shot mode.
such a waste of a early release.
i really enjoy the selling mechanic though. you are left with no clue how to price the items you get initially, instead your cust****s give you 4 different reactions ranging from super happy to pissed off, to the prices you make up yourself. and by using that you can figure out the average value.

Reputation: 882Normally i dont use the character randomizer in dark souls 1, but i got pretty lucky with a acceptable base to work with lol.
making a character in fromsoft games has become sort of a side hobby of mine ever since my BB character got over 300k views on youtube.
this one took only 24 minutes to make, usually i end up spending a hour or 2.
edit: as for what i think of this version. it looks good, it plays good. i agree with the majority that it should have been part of the Prepare to Die Edition though, and Fromsoft has to work on their anti cheat protection. Cheaters should not have the power to mess up other people's save files or get them softbanned by simply using cheatengine. the creator of the mod Watch Dog kept all the cheaters at bay in dark souls Prepare to die edition, which was a tool made by a fan. Now with the Remastered edition cheaters run wild again because fromsoft didn't learn, and once again we are the victim of this until modders do all the work for fromsoft. So before you buy it, beware of cheaters. get the script on the nexus that backs up your save file every 5 minutes. rollback on any suspicious activity be it simply someone suiciding while invading your world.(the soul amount received can permanently damage your matchmaking if its anything like dark souls 2) and if you really want to take no risks, stay hollow. (until the boss of the area is defeated)

E3 had a surprising amount of announcements and games I was actually excited for. The two big ones for me personally are DMC5 and Jump Force. I can't get over how beautiful and clean Jump Force is looking compared to previous Jump games.
Reputation: 882E3 was a snoozefest this year for me lol.
Sekiro by From Software looks alright (Nioh done right lol) but other then that nothing really interested me
Déraciné looked kinda interesting too, at first i thought i was looking at a Yoko Taro game with all the Nier vibes it gives off lol, but yeah... its a VR title sadly.

A lot of E3 was 'meh', but I think that's normal anymore to be honest. There were some great spots on the XBox conference, and I'm jazzed to see where the Spider-Man game goes. As to the rest of Bethesda and Sony, you can read my articles in the news section for my coverage and thoughts of those two conferences. Mostly though, it's all about Fallout 76.
Reputation: 882oh yeah fallout 76, i forgot about that. i might be interested in it, i believe i picked up somewhere that you can build your base anywhere you like and you could even solo the game if you prefer, other then that i dont know much about what's possible and how you tackle content in a 4 man party.
dark souls playtrough is on hold again, i tend to use nvidia experience to record stuff due to its high quality and low filesize. but since like a year now i have this bug where if i tag "allow recording of desktop" in the privacy settings, while recording a full screen application, nvidia just messes up the complete video. (flickering white/black screens)
so as a result now i have like 3 hours of unusable footage.. sigh. i forgot to turn that option back off because i also record non-fullscreen games with it.
last video i was able to record

Reputation: 882returning to theHunter: call of the wild.
surprised to see everything actually working this time around lol. last year everything was so buggy in multiplayer.
they added a bunch of dlc's which i all bought (i know im crazy). a snow map that even people who dont have the dlc can play on if i host it. they added rabbits to hunt and a .22 rifle for them which is a lot of fun. but my favorite is the Crosspoint CB-165:
this thing is a beast that's best used under 30 meters, which is also what makes it so hard to use since you have sight, sound and smell to take in consideration when hunting animals. if you're lucky you can lure a animal using one of your callers, but i find them to work less effective than in the first Hunter game so that means most of the times im slowly crawling towards my target, hoping not to been seen or heard :P but if you manage to hit your target and it drops dead on the spot it feels all the more rewarding! the kinetic force of this thing is so powerful it tends to knock the animals back a little before they drop. so far almost all shots are guaranteed kills.
the map sizes and beautiful nature reservoir's always impress me
this gives a slight idea of its overwhelming size, seeing players chill out like 7 kilometers away from me :P
and last, a little video that shows some killing of innocent wildlife, me driving around etc:
(for those who are wondering what that weird scope is i use on the crossbow, its actually 3 pins to define the range to my target, the top 1 is for 10 meters, the middle one 20, and the bottom 30)
I think what i like most of this game is the fact that its so unpredictable. every game we play nowadays has a set story we are forced to follow, has all the monsters in their pre-designed spawn locations. this game follows none of those rules, its just you, nature, and if you're lucky some beautiful animal packs will show up :P
the community is mostly chill although it does have some kids who tend to play this as call of duty and will come sprinting straight at you, wondering why they never see any animals, but even that i can take with a grain of salt as i laugh at their foolishness :P usually after they cling to your legs for about 3 minutes, they lose interest and log out.

i dont know who these people are, or what they're doing in my tent, but i dont trust them!
things get pretty creepy at night lol
random nerdy sidenote: i was wrong in my previous post stating that the crossbow is best used under 30 meters, also the pin description i gave was completely wrong, which would be the main reason i miss all my 30 meter shots lol. for 400 gram arrows (weight is a big deal, more weight = less range but more penetration strength) the first pin is for 30 meters, the second one 50 and the last one 70. shooting up to 50 meters works surprisingly well and is always spot on with its height. however you do need to adjust the aim about 1 centimeter to the left or right depending on the wind direction. this gets a little too hard to predict at 70 meters lol. knowing that i can use the crossbow from much further away has made this my favorite weapon :P best of all, a gunshot freaks out everything in a 150 meter radius from you, while crossbows only at 50 meters.

Reputation: 882playing subnautica again. what a game! in an age where every dev is taking ideas from other games and where nothing orifinal gets released anymore, Subnautica is in a league on its own, never played anything quite like it. last time i played it it didnt even have a storyline but now it does and i love it. everything about subnautica is so unique and mysterious, creepy yet beautiful at the same time. good to hear its finally coming to PS4 too.

Awesome guys. Good to see you still posting. I remember being on this forums when Lunia just came out. Good times.
