Xenoblade Chronicles X is such a legendary game, a once in a decade masterpiece that will still be talked about and played years from now on i predict. its times like these i am glad i own a Wii-u. when i started this game i had nearly 0 expectations so you can imagine how my hype meter skyrocketed trough the roof :P
i dont know what sorcery the developers of this game used to make something that looks so good run flawless on a inferior system but i like it. the landscapes are just beautiful and it doesnt matter where you are or how you pan your camera, everything looks breath taking and nothing is short of detail. every nook and cranny screams to be explored and thats exactly what i'm doing.
it has its flaws but even with that this is slowly becoming my unexpected game of the year.

heres a pic of my skell setup that works amazingly well. its based almost purely on beam damage. as you see in the screenshot the highlighted skill does beam damage and at the same time debuffs the enemy to that type of damage. a great opening attack that also does a lot of damage. right after that i use the third skill (drone weapon) that releases a bunch of little drones that constantly shoot your target with beam damage like a powerful DoT, while they are doing their job i use the skill from the F-rifle (not sure how i got this, it doesnt seem to be in the shop). by now you should see your screen fill up with damage numbers in the thousands nonstop, its crazy. it can drop a monster 10 levels higher than me in a matter of seconds.
i use a similar strategy on my Duelist focusing purely on melee attacks, offensive stance as buff, 1 phys resist attack debuff, while having the 50% auto attack, 50% phys dmg and 50% crit chance in melee combo from behind passive skills. my highest damage dealt when i was around level 28-30 was 17k with this setup, and now early 30's i usualy do insane spiky damage with arts like True Whirlwind Blade, Tornado Blade or Rising Blade. (the first 2 are aoe which easily end up doing a total of 12k per enemy hit.

Wait until you figure out how broken the Potential stat is. I thought the 100-200k damage I was doing was ridiculous, then I saw a video of a japanese player one-shotting every crazy enemy in the game(which I cant find for the life of me >.<) and I humbled up real quick.
Some of those guys have almost 10mil hp and he'd just delete them.

2$ bucks? where at?Decided to buy swtor considering it was only 2 bucks for the game and I got every current expansion + the lvl65 battle cap permanently unlocked now. They also gave me a free lvl60 character. Gave me this cinematic. Game is putting in more effort than FF14 with cut scenes.

Well played enough to understand some very basic things. Looks like I'm gonna squad it up with my fellow thugs when this comes out. Question now is do I waste money on a founders pack in hopes the game doesn't die or save it and buy something else. I get huge feelings that since this game is about 2 years late and the founders pack prices are so high the game is gonna go huge then drop dead after 2 months.

haha thats crazy, i saw one of those videos yeah. you'd need to generate some tp first though to make use of tp costing skills that are boosted by potential. ill get around it eventually and try it out. im about 2/5 done maxing out all the classes. i love that when u max a class u can use the weapons, arts and even skills on another class so u can come up with some crazy combos.

Most people who have it just want to play it early.
I got one and I barely touch it because there's going to be a wipe anyway. Great game though.

So does the game get better later on story wise ? Cause so far not nearly as interesting as New Vegas was :/ (Level 13 and have not gone to diamond city yet) cause I personally really don't care about the kid lol

story is a bit flat and linear.....with minor plot twists and things...
Bethesda could have done a better job with smaller details tbh...like not focus so much on those god-forsaken repeatable quests and instead focus on player-to-environment interaction
meh, I'm just waiting for CK to come out for this game so the modders can really get to work with adding new armor/outfit/weapon/effects/skills/animations/etc.
