Crusader Kings 2 - A Game of Thrones

Just started playing this. I've never played CK2 regular campaign, so I'm learning everything through this.

Any tips, ideas, techniques, strategies, etc...? If I start with just one holding, but I am a High Lord or w/e, how do I take over my vassals lands? If not that, how do I take over the land of a neighboring faction that has the same King as me? Just fabricate a claim? Any other tips?

I don't think you can follow it exactly since there's been a million patches and expansions, but you can still follow it pretty well if you want to learn stuff.

As for taking over lands, you can fabricate claims, pull someone into your court that has a claim on that place and press it, fiddle with the marriages and stuff to get your kids as heirs to the place... There's tonnes of ways.
