I've been looking for more info on it (and Dragon's Dogma Online) but there just isn't a whole lot out yet. I'm pretty sure at the very least it'll have a solid battle system but idk about anything else.

I played Star Ocean: The Second Story back when I was around 12-years-old. It's one of my favorite games.

I remember the third to last boss gave me the most trouble. I reset my game soo many times. Then there was that one time that I was so fed up, I started a new game for fun. Then I overwrote my original data on accident when I saved. looooooool Had to start from the beginning, and still the second time around, the third to last boss was still extremely difficult.

I don't think I had nearly as much trouble with the final boss.

I discovered they made an anime of SO: TSS and they re-released the game for PSP with some modifications.

Do all of the Star Ocean games allow you to play-through with a male or female character?

If you don't intend to play the game, this was the boss fight that kicked my pre-teen ass:

I don't know, but I don't have high expectations for it.
Star Ocean 2 is one of the best JRPGs ever (IMO) made together with the other golden gems on the PSX (FF7-9, Breath of Fire 3/4, Vandal Hearts, Vagrant Story, Suikoden 1/2, Grandia, Granstream Saga, Alundra etc. etc.), and I generally thought 3 was horrible in comparison, and 4 was even worse.

I haven't played a really high-quality JRPG since the Last Story on the Wii, and that was an exception. I generally consider the age of good JRPGs to have ended with the PS2 era, and so I just can't get myself hyped for the new generation line-ups.

What games you got for 3DS now? There's a buncha good ones you can get. If you haven't already picked it up SMT IV for 3DS is solid, not too hard but can be challenging. Also if you don't have Monster Hunter 4 yet, then you are def slacking lol. That game will give you plenty to do.

Bruh, you might as wait for Xenoblade Chronicles X, because that game is going to be way better than Xenoblade Chronicles, which was already awesome.



I think on Reddit someone had posted that Xenoblade Chronicles (XC), which was a huge game map wise (bigger than even Skyrim) is going to seem tiny compared to (XCX). I think it's been said that XCX's world will be 5 times bigger than XC.

Focus on getting a Wii U (if you don't have one) and you can play both XC and XCX, among other stuff.

Also, I think they are still doing that deal where you can trade in old 3ds models for the new and get the new one for like a lil over 100$, which ain't bad but don't quote me on that.

i have mixed feelings about that game lol. i mean it looks so awesome, but at the same time it looks so complicated that i wonder if theres gonna be tutorials good enough for explaining it all.
and sadly the music i heard during the video is absolute trash, they can leave the english sung/rapped tracks out imo.

That game looks like it would be a lot of fun. Wish I could afford to get a Wii U ;_; So much other crap I need to get tho.

A good portion of the mechanics look like they'll be coming from XC so it shouldn't be too bad. The new stuff with the Dolls does look a bit more complex, but I'm sure there will be enough people that can help you out with that in multiplayer.

Music sounds fine bro, most of it is kinda like the typical jpop you hear in Anime, kinda like Aldnoah's OST. The rap didn't sound any worse than it was in the Jormungand or Kill la Kill OSTs either to me *shrug* but hey, to each their own. The world exploration demo music was incredible, and a number of the songs from the ost are already available on youtube.



I think the ost so far is pretty solid.

The problem is I need to update my computer, too. At a minimum, it'll cost me $250. At a maximum (if just upgrading), it may be closer to $500. Or I may just go the route of a whole new computer which will cost around $1,000.
