I'd suggest using yahoo.jp and a proxy to import a used console.
Don't use buyee as your proxy though they are overpriced.
A lot of japanese things I get I do this and I get them pretty cheap.
For the proxy though you don't even have to use yahoo.jp if you find some place that doesn't ship to the US but has great prices the proxy can be used to buy that as well.
