Tera - Worth going back to?
I played Tera with my husband when it first launched and we had a lot of problems with it.
Mostly that it was impossible to get into dungeons, and impossible to take on BAMs / finish a lot of quests with just the two of us. Has there been PVE / party changes / enemy or Quest changes that have improved this?
We were considering going back because friends said the game's improved, but, since the download is freakin' massive, wasn't sure if it was worth going back to.

Still almost impossible to get into high-end dungeons unless you have a newbie friendly guild. No experience = no chance of getting into end-game dungeons because elitism. This doesn't apply to low level dungeons because auto-match feature. DPS class still takes forever to queue.
Much easier to solo BAMs due to addition of Avatar weapons. You receive those weapons every couple of levels until 65 and are OP as hell. My slayer could kill a BAM in less than 20 seconds at level 50 if i recalled correctly. These Avatar significantly speeds up leveling up tremendously.
PVE/Party/Quest still the same. Best level-up method is spam dungeons with auto-match feature or grind on BAMs with 2x exp. 95% of quests consists of kill xx amount of y monsters.

Sounds like they've made it really easy compared to when we played (for a month or two after launch). Wow.

Game is still awful if you ask me.
I tried really hard to like this game but the leveling is just so insanely repetitive and slow ..
I don't get the hype ..

People that judge MMORPGs on how leveling is are no suppose to be playing mmorpgs at all =p
Leveling in Tera is normal like in almost any other decent mmorpg.

i judge most mmos on how the leveling is - if it's pisspoor then the game isn't worth it. "b-b-but muh end-game" lol the end-game won't magically make the game better if the game isn't fun in the early levels.

I played on the original Ragnarok Online servers for years.
I have no problems with grind / leveling. I tend to enjoy exploring places and taking my time anyway.
So yeah.

Pretty true. I played GW1 for a few years and the leveling was very, very fun. Same with WoW. Any other MMORPG's you can list that has fun leveling + end game?

Leveling in Tera is fun, at least it was fun for me. Combat is amazing sto just grinding feels good. The quest are your standard fare nothing special but nothing bad also. There are dungons, battleground which also give XP, open world PK so you are on edge while lvling I love that feel.
I'm playing Echo of Soul right now now this game has shitty leveling, but pvp is fun so I struggle through it xD

I wanted to get into Echo of Soul but 1) Doesn't have UI upscaling and 2) Genderlocked classes.

I just started playing on US servers from Europe, enjoying my priest a lot atm. I don't mind the repetitive quests (for now lol)
Enmasse>Gameforge for sure.

EoS isn't worth it.. Game is heading down a bad path already thanks to cheap gold being sold, Unbalanced pvp, Bad Queing system and so on.
I gave it a good shot and so did my friends and honestly it's going to have a hard time surviving I think especially when B&S and Wildstar come out.
On topic : Tera is a good game but the only thing that turns me off is the end game grind. You really need to be pretty dedicated or be carried by a strong guild to get anywhere.
Besides that it's probably one of the best f2p games out there.
