Eternal winter, sparse human population, plenty of wild animals.
Nights longer than the days.
Cities uninhabitable due to radiation and angry mutated animals, but they're full of loots and making it through a city alive is very rewarding.
I could go into a million more details about my little fantasy world but nobody would care.
