WoTC has been talking about it for quite sometime. They want this to replace M:TGO.

Their are so many negative reviews for the game because of a lack of chat and the current implementation of THG, which is well founded but also hilarious x3

I'll give it a try when my computer starts up and doesn't just buzz and make a horrendous, drawn out beeping sound that sounds like a death knell.

I tried to do a bit of the tutorial this morning before doing my normal IRL routine. I was DCed from the server three times in a 20 min tutorial. Luckily they try to reconnect you while in your game. No progress was lost so far.

Majority of the negative reviews is those who lose their progress cause they try to play when the game is out of sync with the server. Simple... try to connect. It takes me no more than 3 tries to reconnect. You also have those who played M:TG for years who do not like that it basically "rewards" you for learning how to play and what eat trait does. The only bad thing I got to say about it is the field is too restrictive. It's hard to click the right card when you have a stack of them.

Magic online's interface was great! But it's quite dated.

    Gave this game a shot.
Couldnt really get into it played with my nephew a bit he taught me how to play Magic with IRL cards its actually a bit more fun just playing with cards irl then online.

But you are right getting into the irl version so exspensive but games like these always have a Mircro transaction system

Not trying to shill but if you guys are interested in something similar, Yugioh has a new game on the PSN and Xbox live stores. $20 I believe. You can play through all the series(besides the latest) with or without the main character's deck. Has something like 6.6k cards?(including pendulum cards)
As for this I've heard it's quite good but just a lot of weird bugs atm (such opponents not decking out when they should, randomly doing more damage than you should, etc.)

They do need to implement a chat system. I am sure they will.

YOu do realize in order for HS to be what it is, they had to pay rights to WoTC? I know you tried to make a funny (a generic one at that), but the irony. HS has to pay WoTC to make HS. Sometime later, WoTC creates another MMOCCG.

UPDATE: I did notice the price of boosters is not bad at all. $24.99 will get you 3750 gold (150.06 gold per dollar). For 3000 gold you get 20 boosters(150 gold per booster).
Where did you read that Blizzard had to pay WotC?

Ugh... Richard Garfield owns the patent on CCG/TCG. He broke the patent rights down to the minute details that would entail any concepts related to a TCG/CCG. So ANYONE who uses those concepts FOR PROFIT have to pay a certain amount. These things happen all the time and it's not in the news. Why?... it's just business. Patents can make one man's great idea become his millions or billions. If they are smart.

That doesn't sound like a legal patent at all. I'm not surprised it exists but at the same time that sound similar to if someone tried to make a patent on the idea of a video game.

I personally prefer MTGO. Probably cause I got used to the interface.
