Youtube Gaming Launched 8/26/2015

Maybe it's because I'm old but I thought the point of video games was to play them, not to watch someone else play them. That's like the laziest thing I can even think of.

I mean, I guess I get watching something competitive, like a fighting game or something head to head, but to just sit back and watch someone else play video games...I don't get it.

I use vidya games as my white noise. I don't have a TV, I don't have netflix, or slingbox. I normally catch up on shows I like an hour or two before bed. So when I'm sitting there and music is to distracting I'll turn on twitch or hitbox and let it play in the background.

Watching me stream is like watching grass grow and paint dry. I usually don't stream because I think I am a boring person to be streaming lol

But I might try out this thing because it's free. It will be completely void of sound though because of copyrights and what-not. But still, if I can launch it without lagging, then might as well see what it looks like. (=

i feel the same way but i've never actually watched a stream except for an onrpg person for like 5 minutes so idk. lots of people seem to like it so there must be something there lol

Entertainment I guess, probably the same reason I enjoy watching people play certain games here at home. A good RPG I could watch someone play all day because I get in to the story and don't have to make the decisions in-game myself. I could imagine a streamer that doesn't talk would be fun to watch, or at least someone that's not constantly commentating the entire stream. Interactivity is good, too much of it is bad.
