I'm not excited but I am hoping that it's good. I also kind of want it to be bad though.
Good so I can play a good game, and bad so Bethesda can get off their lazy asses and stop reusing the same shitty engine.
Definitely waiting until the game has lots of reviews and coverage before even thinking about buying it. Right now nothing I've seen looks good outside of weapon customization. So it's probably going to go the way of people either hating it because it's really bad or the video game community continues to be ******ed and eats the shit up. Not optimistic at all.
Leaked footage basically makes the game look exactly like Fallout 3 and NV in terms of combat but with slightly improved gunplay, dialogue is terrible because of the wheel, and the UI is hit and miss. Things like looting just bring up a pop-up pemu instead of removing you from the game. But the perk menu just rips you from everything similar to the sky perk thing in Skyrim. Also looks to be no hidden perks since they are all shown in the menu and the load screen is copy paste from Skyrim as well.
All in All feels like a quick cash in just taking a lot of Skyrim's system and Fallout 3+NV stuff and slamming it into a game. Nothing new, nothing innovative, and nothing to really make me excited. Yes I am aware about the base building crap.
