I don't think abortion should be mandatory, but I do think an application process to reproduce should be implemented. People can also apply multiple times throughout their lifetime, in case they become less shitty.

Abortion is up to the mother. It's part of her body. You could argue that babies are alive. That definition for what deserves to live is also up to the mother. That said, our planet is ridiculously overpopulated with humans, and the anti-abortion religious doctrine was for when the tribe that invented it didn't have the technology and medicine to carry out abortions safely, did not know what germs were, stoned people to death for not fitting in, had slaves, ***** any female who was a foreigner, and was facing critical problems with population shortage.

So even if you are a schizophrenic Christian, there is no longer a population shortage. In fact - there are too many people, so even if you believe that more humans are better for the planet, your offspring will just fight it out with the other humans until enough people kill each other so that the planet can feed people again - and then people will fight over those resources until there are fewer resources and fewer people, so the more children you have the more people there will be who die in war and/or poverty, whether it's your gene pool or the enemy's. The world superpowers are already prepared for world war III.
