The 80 dollar price tag was really just speculation. Like the whole no renting games for Ps3 thing.. People just over react to rumors

It's $600 USD, which is about $900-1000 Canadian.
Sony already announced that the Japanese price cut won't be extended to the North American version of the PS2...
Get a job if you want it, it's not hard. I made enough money to buy it, along with two games, working part-time for 3 weeks.

Oh well legal games here cost 80bucks so it really isn't worth spending 1.5k on the PS3 and still forking out so much for the games >.<

I don't understand why people keep on say that the ps3 has nothing new, only the massive state of the art dvds and an amazing processor with a floating point like nothing any one has ever seen. What does the wii have? It's pointing thing was my snes and its tilt was on my gameboy. Seriously stop saying stuff like that.
