Some would argue for the chance of stealing loot is what makes DZ worth it but I think I'll honestly respond by saying their delusional. For the time to pvp and the amount of loss involve DZ is probably better off disabling dropping loot and let people kill ppl for the hell of it. I wouldn't consider myself as a "care bear", since I'll kill in dz if I feel like it, but yea dz is mostly boring because the main point is to kill similar targets in a specify area for over hours in order to reach dz lvl 50.
To sum up, after the story and capped at level 30 you'll head to DZ to gear up and level. DZ is a limited area with no story quest with pvp enabled. You'll endlessly kill the same npc, slightly varied in levels, hours until you get the best gear. Risk is limited by how you interact with other players. Best action is to distrust everyone and avoid real player contact unless you actually know that person. Rogues lose lots of things that just seems unbalance, the best suggestion is to just avoid going rogue as much as possible.
