Video Guide

Hey guys, just wanted to introduce you guys to StarBreak, a brand new "MMA" RPG ("Massively Multiplayer Action") Roleplaying Game known as StarBreak. It's a bit of a throwback retro to the games such as Contra and Megaman. Just like those games, it's actually quite challenging, which makes the fact that it has permadeath a bit aggravating at times.

So far, it's a really cool game!

Written Guide:
Shells/Characters
4 Shells are available. 3 of them are unlocked via leveling
You gain exp as you fight and complete missions. This is then totaled once you’ve died.
Level 1 – Wildfire – Standard Shooter
Level 3 – Duskwing – Very mobile and Short-Range Fighter
Level 5 – Ironclad – Can DPS and Tank exceedingly well
Level 7 – Fabricator – Creates Constructs

Gear
• There is a permadeath function to this game.
• When you die, you lose everything in your inventory, except for your keys!
• You also lose any stat progress you’ve made to that current character/spark/shell.
• At the beginning of the game, you get access to 1 “universal” stash for free.
• Each stash holds 6 items, while your inventory has 8 free slots, with each additional stash costing 40 premium currency.
• I know there’s a way to earn this currency in the game, but I’m not sure how.
• Using the lowest package of coins as currency:dollar conversion, each stash costs 4 USD.
• For an even greater premium, at $9.50 per slot, there is Shell Storage.
• These pods allow you to save/store a shell, along with its stats and inventory, and use another shell/character instead. Essentially, you can have up to 5 shells, 4 in lay-away and 1 active.
• This will cost you $38 USD, not including currency bonuses for larger coin packages.

Missions
• Each mission has at least a boss and mini boss.
• These mission maps range in environment (which dictates which monsters and environmental traps spawn), overall difficulty, and Elite status.
• In Elite missions, only elite monsters spawn, which are obviously much more difficult, but they give a ton of good loot.
• To enter a mission, you typically have to use a key. You gain keys by killing mobs in missions. Obviously, there are missions, such as the very first one, that don’t require a key for entry.
• Finally, on a mission’s description you’ll sometimes see a counter labeled Used. This indicates how many players are in the current instance of the mission you’re looking at. Instances refresh VERY quickly, so if you want to group up with players in a mission, take advantage of this counter!
