I stopped thinking that. Now I think, that the environment needs to be integrated.
In the trailers everything to me looked as if you where presented with a true "sandbox" eg. a box of sand. Some buckets, some shovels, a little truck and a other stuff. A true "you make your own story" thing.
Tbh, I don't really think we need millions of forgettable "make your own story" games, that all just are basically throwing a bunch of toys at you and say "have fun". The concept is exhausted after one such game. That game basically more or less was minecraft.
Everything that comes after it: Shitty versions of minecraft.
I don't get excited over that direction of gaming.
It's either try everything once and than walk through the 5 minutes story content and than uninstall, or just get stuck putting a honest to god bigger effort into enjoying the game, than the developers did into making it.
That's not my type of thing. I don't get excited at the idea, that lego spawns 20 shitty knockoffs, that all have one annoying random feature, that is completely hamfisted onto it to, just to differentiate, while usually not doing anything anywhere close to the quality of the original.
