    Default Wassup ONRPG

How's everyone doing? I still lurk the forums here and there, I don't post much but just know I'm around!

Also, how's your New Years resolutions coming along? Are you sticking to whatever you promised? I'm looking forward to seeing how everyone's doing.

As for me, it is finally complete! My resolution this year was to stop smoking, and I did so rather easily by switching to vaping. Funny enough it's become a hobby of sorts for me. So much cool stuff to buy, and awesome types of coils to be built. certainly keeps me busy and away from the analogs.

That's awesome news, congrats on the great success. As an occasional asthmatic that's lost far too many family and friends to lung cancer, one less smoker in the world is always great news to me.

I quit drinking and cut sugary drinks/energy drinks out of my diet as a last ditch effort to finally lose weight. Down 9 lbs so far, making this the skinniest I've been in about 6 years. 10 more pounds to go and I'll be back in the ideal range.

I didn't make one this year. Last year mine was to start wearing socks. Now I just buy shoes that don't require socks.

If you want to lose some of the easiest weight ever that requires ZERO exercise and ZERO calorie restriction or documentation, go plant-based. Just do it for a month, and you'll probably lose at least 5-10 lbs or more. Do it for 2-3 months and you'll probably lose another 10+ lbs. Then after that, the weight loss may slow down (unless you're obese as fvck), but still requires no effort other than cooking.

This means no animal products at all. But also, very minimal/no added sugars, salt, or oil. Instead, replace sugar with natural sweet foods, salt with lemon juice, and oil with water or vegetable broth. Oil is overrated and does the same shit water does. Also, keep your fat intake around 10-20% of your total daily calories and no commercially processed foods (some exclusions apply, such as freshly-made or depending on the ingredients and how it's prepared). Make everything yourself from scratch with whole ingredients. And lastly, only eat when you're hungry and eat until satiated. Don't overeat.

I knooow it sounds like a lot and really complicated, but it's not. It sounds more simple and less complicated if I just say eat whole plants; cook them, eat them raw, mix them together in a recipe, etc. Just eat whole plant foods. You can have "junk" foods, as long as you follow the aforementioned rules.

E.G. I like to make oil-less oven-baked french fries, "nice-cream" made with plant-based milk or bananas, or cheeseburgers, just make the vegan patty and cheese yourself. There are lots of vegan imitation recipes that are delicious, and simple, so if you don't want to spend a lot of time making food, it doesn't have to be that time-consuming.

One of my favorite simple dinners is brown rice spaghetti pasta (I buy this pre-made) and I cut and cook up grape tomatoes in a skillet with minced garlic and vegetable broth, then I put the sauce over the pasta. Easy and delicious. You can also toss a package of frozen veggies into the water two minutes before the pasta is done cooking to add extra veggies. You can also add herbs and spices to the sauce if you feel like it.

@Dizzy IF you do decide to go plant-based, I forgot to mention, you will need to take B12 supplements or eat foods fortified with B12. Some fortified foods are cereals, plant-milks, meat substitutes, and nutritional yeast, which has a cheesy flavor; it can be topped on salads, pizzas, burritos, anything you want. (F.Y.I. B12 is found in soil and water, but we clean our food and filter water, therefore, we need to supplement it elsewhere. Animal products are also fortified.)

Also, this guy is a vegan bodybuilder who is super nice and he's helpful if you want to try it out. He has some vegan recipes, but not all of them are vegan because he's only been vegan for a year or so:

Solid work. If you need advice I've got that goal down to a science.

@Hello Kitty - Sorry my wife is a tiger. She will not put up with me doing such nonsense.

    Hardly nonsense, but suit yourself.

P.S. Your wife is a slow, very slow, herbivorous human.
