It's 2017. I think I first visited this forum in 2008? Lurked around for a year and then I finally made this account in 2009. We've been together a long time, OnRPG, but it's been a long time since we talked.

How have you guys been lately? What games are you playing now? How do you feel about the industry lately? The MMO community used to feel close-knit. There were like three websites-forums you could visit to talk about them, unless you went to a game-specific forum, and OnRPG was one of them. Now Reddit is insanely popular, facebook groups are a common thing, any every person with five minutes of spare time can have their own private forum for their friends. Where did you guys drift to? I've mostly been on reddit and discord lately.


What games are you looking forward to? I'm planning to play Life is Feudal, and have participated in some of the closed beta events. Of course, all the other sandbox MMOs and games look interesting.

Never honestly use facebook groups, also dont use reddit This is the only place i come to since i joined.
Im kind of trying a game to play, unfortunately im forced to play older games becouse of my video card, its crap really. And i cannot change it for my laptop, i also buyed xbox one recently so i cant afford better pc
Gonna try Tree of Saviors hopefully my pc will run it.
Was playing OSRS for 2 weeks but the grindfest is real.

I've had trouble getting hardcore into any game recently. I have the time, but the interest level remains low. I have turned into a casual gamer.

Almost every time I come to post on these forums, I get prompted to change my password, and since I am so lazy, I don't.

By the time I want to post again, my password will probably have expired.

MMO's have gone downhill. It's all about creating a addiction now, rather than game play or anything remotely interesting. Plus all the shitty F2P mmo's that onrpg used to team up and play have moved to mobile.

^ This and the whole 'your password is 143 days old please change!' I had the same password for 9 years! 9 years! don't tell me what to do! Now I have to change it like 3 or 4 times a year.

Anyways.. Not playing any MMO's at the moment. Played WoW for a bit when Legion hit but grew old pretty fast after doing some raiding.
Did some ArcheAge / BDO when they launched but also grew old. I guess we're getting old and getting used to what an MMO is.

I'm just waiting for something to be totally different.

I spend a lot of time over at Reddit on the Warframe sub and playing Starbound, DST and other co-op with my friends. Waiting on some of this year's MMO's to play as well.

Lotta single player stuff I'm catching up on as well.
