Fortnite - Personal Opinion

Fun for a while , but it gets boring after a few days.
Not to mention the major complaint that Hero characters are locked behind paywalls ...
Also hate the fact that you cant repair weapons. Wish there was a shop to trade items for ammo cause i seem to run out of it really often and i cant craft them fast enough cause i run out of crafting materials faster than i can find it.
Looking forward to major updates , maybe those will change most of the problems i got with the game.



Also , if any of the Admins could restore this thread so i can merge this post with that one , that would be great.

It seemed interesting with the base building , but i wish the matches were shorter. As in make the building costs lower per piece and upgrading them.
Or give increased resources when farming. Matches take quite a while to finish. I just reached the second tier of skills and i hope there are some nodes that increase gathered building resources.
Its fun , just needs more game modes and improvements.

Yeah I did some digging in the subreddit for Fortnite and your opinion meshes with what I found. Fun core game ruined by RNG gacha shit.

I played it for quite a few hours (almost up to the second zone) then refunded it. Luckily this was simple and fast with Epic, so props to them for that at least.

Gameplay wise, it's a good mix of tower defense, survival and RPG. Agree that matches could be shorter with reducing material cost or increasing material yield, like Seya said.

One extremely big problem though - all progression (apart from skill points) is locked by RNG lootboxes, which can be bought with real cash or gotten through gameplay, but at a slow rate and time limited. MASSIVE turnoff for me. I thought I could get meaningful items from actually playing the game, not by this garbage system of rng lootboxes. It wouldn't be such a problem if this wasn't literally the only way to get good items and if basically all power progression wasn't tied to these items.

What's the ****ing point of even playing the game when you don't progress in power from actually playing the game? Imagine raiding in World of Warcraft, but the bosses wouldn't drop loot AT ALL. ???

They gave 15 free big loot boxes to everyone, and i got 2 epic hero's along with 6 epic weapons, epic survivors and everything. Even though i got the game for free i find it extremely fun an enjoyable especially with other people.

Some people though due to the RNG of the game have been stuck in..plankerton i think was the name? They just never got anything they could use to advance from their boxes so it became a "wait for my free boxes" to try and level up survivors//hope for advanced gear.
SOme people also never got the hero types they wanted, which especially bugs me.

I really hope things turn around, I like the premise, the actual gameplay looks fun, and I enjoy the art-style.

Dont know what its like to cry about things, the games not even pvp at all so i see no point in even complaining. You can group with people and maybe those people have better hero's and in reality it doesn't matter it just helps you in the end. RNG or not ill still enjoy this game regardless of what i got.


FYI make friends in the game cuz you can give them material to make epics or legendary weapons.

All i got from those were 4 blue heroes , no purples or orange ones if they exist.
Pissed off beyond reason. Will stop playing it until they fix this terrible way of progression.
