Oh wow. I have no idea how I didn't know about this game. It looks beautiful and unlike every other PvP game out there, particularly relaxing. I just pre-ordered it and will be playing it tomorrow. Thanks for the heads up!

Reputation: 490Already bought it and just waiting for it to be available in like 4 hours.
Reputation: 482@Orpheus: NP. yeah it is looking to be pretty solid. Do note for those reading in that there is a PvE side to the game as well.
@Acreon: according to the vids out, there is at least 4 styles:
Khalit - focuses on absorbing attacks and delivering powerful counters, while regaining some of the health lost in the process.
Windfall - focuses on evasion to create openings for attacks
Forsaken - focuses on parrying and counter.
Stagger* - focuses on unpredicability to confuse and create openings.
You can learn and use moves from different styles than the one you use to varying degrees of effectiveness. You can learn them from being taught by a mentor or experiencing them through combat and winning fights. Dunno if there will be more styles, but that pretty likely.
@ApocaRUFF: did the same, but I got to wait until 6PM EST to check it out. Gonna be on PC and start with Windfall.
Keep in mind everyone that as of now Absolver is not cross platform, so choose carefully which platform you are gonna play on (likely most folk here are gonna go with PC).

Reputation: 41game is really good. I waited the whole time for this one. My only problem is that the tutorial could be better.
You need to learn most things by yourself or from guides (this can be a good thing too..depends on the person)

Reputation: 482Yeah, it really does give you just the basics. Some stuff is learned from various NPCs throughout the world though and practice mode has a lot of good tips. I think it is a good thing based on the core concept of "learning though experience" is how you get all your new moves and will make the mentor system useful for those that are new.
