Is it worth playing again? I remember getting to the thorns expansion and honestly never even made it through the first map. It was such a pleasant game up to thorns, then all of a sudden you were jumping through hoops (sometimes literally) just to get anything done. Game went from being a nice journey to suddenly being maps full of PITA enemies that made it no fun trying to get from one end to the other. Completely killed any interest I had in the game at the time. It kind of just felt like the whole expansion was about this or that gimmick, and it sounds like this one might be the same with all the mounts and weird ways you have to travel around with them.

I'm not the biggest GW2 fan but find PoF to be more fun than HoT imo and a number of people seem to feel the same way. The mounts are usable outside of the PoF maps and are a great way to get around various places, so they are at the very least worth getting (same is with gliding from HoT and some of the other passive buffs).

There are still tough enemies to fight and a lot of things to find, so it is still more of the same thing, but the map design feels better overall. That's all I can say really as I haven't really explored enough to really give a detailed account.

Well just ordered my new PC , All parts should be coming by Thursday at the latest so when I get everything built, I will be getting more in depth with Guild Wars 2 as well as some other games like Korean MapleStory 2, SWTOR, Blade and Soul and possibly purchasing Black Desert Online. Will have dual monitors and such to and will start putting together my own online game in Unreal Engine 4 using a base mmo starter kit.. and I will be updating my games lists much easier as it won't run like a snail. Plus will be getting back in to doing 3D
Was thinking about giving WildStar another try now that I have a bigger monitor..

https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/user/cha...r/saved/dBDccf When with Ryzen (Bit worse for gaming) But better for doing rendering as well as multi tasking and work in Unreal Engine 4

Really can't wait. I have so many steam games that wouldn't work on this current PC ! Going from 2 GB of ram up to 32. Will be like a different world especially with dual screens.

As Kashis said i agree that PoF is better than HoT in many ways ... HoT was not very solo friendly ... u had to actualy get grps for many Hero Points and the map terains for some maps were just soo bad that u wanted to punch the screen *cough* Tangled Depths *cough* **** that map ... this expansion is way more solo friendly ... somewhat easier and the maps are nicely done even with all the extra portals that u can use with ur mounts and etc its fun

As someone who has played the game with several characters from 1.4k hours to 200 hours on most of my characters and made few legendaries and got most of the achievements i would say the game is still worth the money and still worth coming back now and then since its b2p ... they add stuff and do some events the living story is great ... in general Guild Wars has an amazing storyline ^^

My new pc is up and running and I've been playing quite a bit this past week really getting into things again. Finally finished living world season 2 and working my way through the HoT story . Feels good gliding around the game world at last. Always enjoy the Halloween events also. Will be even more fun when I get my mount unlocked!

I am off work this weekend so will be doing it also, we should group up. Could use a bit of help in Verdant Brink reaching my story instance.

Edit reached my story step by gliding from high up.. The story is actually interesting compared with Living World Season 2

Edit 2 I wish more people would do the Mad Kings Labyrinth (More commanders) and not useless ones at that who just stampede around the map..
