So yeah,i'm gonna buy myself a Nvidia 7600 SE or a 7200 SE.
Tough,there's a tiny problem..I DON'T HAVE PCI-E SLOTS!Blame ASRock.
I guess i'll stick with AGP...they'll be more expensive and not as fast but hey!
How will it be like (it's soooo gonna fly!Await me Oblivion..Whahaha!):
P4 3.2 GhZ
IDE(I preffer them,they're faster than SATA)Hard drive 140GB.
1024 RAM
Geforce Nvidia 7600/7200 SE AGP
My current's graphic card:
Radeon 9200 SE Pro edition
You can't compare the graphical power ^_^.
Also,i've got 3 fans(And the energy source of course!).
I have one more fan space left..Do you think i'll need a new fan?If so,should i put it on the free space or on the fan space on the graphic card?(if it doesn't come with one alredy..Which i doubt alot).
First, SATA is many times faster then IDE, there is no debate about that.
The fastest IDE speed is 150MBs. The slowest SATA speed is 1.5GBs(1500MBs), and the fastest so far is 3GBs(3000MBs). There quite simply is no compitition.
And then add in the little fact that most SATA connections have RAID options, which will double the proformance if you use it.
And you can never have too much air-flow. Get the fan.
Just one thing, make sure that the air flow goes in the front, out the back. If you just randomly put fans it, it won't be very effective. You want to get the air pushed in one direction, and the direction with the best effect is in the front, and out the back.
Yeah, but the SATA i've tried wasn't realy anything very strong.
My friend just tried it and was probably one of the first SATAs out.
I'm fine with my IDE for now.
But yeah, the fan i planned putting is near the graphic card, and will point up to the exit of the stronger fan which sucks out the hotter hair coming from the Processor.
Also, take it easy i'm only 13.And like i said, the SATA i tried was one of the first so i guess they might be faster now..WAY faster.
Been reading and a Geforce 7600 SE/GT will be VERY nice for my configuration.
It's got 3.080 points on 3DMark06 (I dunno how would my Radeon 9200 Pro SE behave but it wouldn't be probably a quarter!)and the GS version has got 2.117.
The GT version will be probably be more expensive but since it's got PCI-E technology oh boy oh boy.
