    Default Shroud of the avatar

Hello! I just started playing a game called Shroud of the avatar which had its release a few days back. Its developed by the same guys that was behind Ultime online if im correct.

I played Tibia back in the days and it really brings back a lot of memories! It has really mixed opinions by players so I was kind of worried before i bought it but im glad i did though. I guess its not for everyone though. The cash shop seems broken and a lot of people hates on the combat system which i myself find extremely funny though. I really see a lot of similarities to Tibia and other old school games and thats what makes it so funny i guess.

Anyways, just wanted to share the info. If anybody wants to play ingame, my name is Mogoosi Fealaylion

    *Edit
There seems to be a free trial on their website for those of you who just want to try it out

Is it B2P then F2P or B2P then P2P? I was wondering since it looks nice.

There is a trial apparently, but from what people have posted here, particularly not having any kind of "release" wipe I'm left uninterested.

Bought it forever ago, it was clunky and the UI was awful.
    It hasn't changed

I know the graphics aren't that great, they have way improved in the game though. it has taken time though I lost a lot of characters I had earlier so anyone who thinks there wasn't a wipe there was. I only started replaying a week ago or so.
The way to play this game is make sure you lock all your skills and build up those xp points, seen lower bottom right when you open your skill tree, "K".
Build them so you have at least 250k at least - 1million is best,
I know its going to be hard, you CAN have one or two skills open or levelling while doing this.
Why? this is your pool, you have to have a pool of funds, which is gathered throughout the game by killing mobs, and also, crafting collecting skills, the exact same goes for them, as they have their own pool too.
when you do this you'll really benefit the power of faster levelling of your skill trees.
Also do not be deterred by you running always into level 1 and 2 areas, just keep doing it to accumulate those points and accumulate cash,
once you have your points tick up a few skills at a time like four max, concentrating on one subject tree, top to 80 and the next 3 below to 40 and hold them going down the tree getting those to 40, watch them go up faster by this method.
it maybe a little hard to resist at first but I wish i'd found out this tactic early, as I went crazy having many skills when I first played.
Overall this game has improved a lot and its pretty good fun to play when you know what your doing. The Ai is predictable which makes this funny and easy to do.
If you use the dummy in the archer shop you can easily boost up skills in there, but, Remember! when you do this, your draining from your pool and not adding to it so it may grow fast but your losing as well, monsters are best, but for a quick boost in skills advancement using the archers target works.
P.s. there is no limit to skills you can use, So grab ones like that help you see in the dark and ones that help you run faster for a better experience etc etc

Skeggy has a gentle voice but has some great knowledge of the game.

    happy gaming and enjoy

I bought SotA after playing the free trial. This game is amazing and its only going to get better. This is truely a sandbox game unlock others who claim to be. 100% player driven... You build the character you want with barely any restrictions. I'm a 2H staff melee dark magic summoner right now...

The only bad thing I can say about this game is the current optimization/load times... On My SSD, it takes 30-45 seconds to load a zone. On max OR low setting, some areas I get 20FPS which makes no sense. THIS IS BEING WORKED ON! Do not get discouraged over this... The next 3 monthly releases are all focused on optimization as well as other features.

I tried it yesterday, never got passed the starting area with the woman, way to much clicking for dialogue, uninstalled it, won't touch it ever again, just not worth it IMHO.

That's the grim and bare part of the game once you over ride the initial drama your free to do as you please.
I'm currently close to being able to buy a deed and a plot Its all mapped out and all for free with a little work.
Its fun and funny to manipulate the areas. You can do any trait or all traits of skills in both sections. You can achieve all high levels without any mastering of anyone of them and if you succeeded this you would be a massive power house in the game as I have seen those that have achieved this. This game takes time, no straight in and your done game, its a time barer, a thinker and a set that pace that wins here.
Just remember the pool system, simply, 4 at once in each of 2 sections, set green arrows up, all the rest with grey bars to hold unless they are passive climbers which you can open a few relevant ones up.
I would say re install it but everyone to their own.
    Happy Gaming
