I had fun whenever i tried to play KR. Lag prevented me from getting very deep into the game but the general feel is very maplestory. Early maplestory not every has insane movement abilities and map clearing skills maplestory.

Haha yeah I know, I'm just hoping we'll get lucky and they'll stick to cosmetics and pets or something. While I'd prefer no P2W it's NA Nexon so I can at least hope for it to be minimal(and have good servers at launch)

Well with MS it started off okay, then they slowly added in a lot of the controversial stuff like the mesos bags and cubing system over the years. Hopefully MS2 wont follow a similar path but I honestly wouldn't be surprised of it did.

Beta to the live version was really fun without the CS issues despite the grind though. My friends are looking forward to playing, so it'll be cool to finally have something we can all jump into and enjoy.

Depending on how things go it could stir some activity around here as well, but we'll see.

Whatever happens I don't think it will be as bad as playing on regular servers in MS1, it seems less reliant on spending money compared with ms1 regular servers.

This game is a giant grind fest and gets boring if you want to play Solo. Only thing which would keep me playing is if I could make fashion clothes and sell well on the market.
If you join late into the game, leveling will be very long. When the beta comes out, everyone will just go to the same places and run in a pattern for hours and hours to get 1 touch on as many monsters as possible to get all the exp, and you'll do that till you hit a good enough level to go to the other grind fest spot. You level really fast like this, and will hit max level in about a week or two.

Then if you want unique items or stuff, you gotta grind down on a monster for hours and hours and hours to get it. World bosses are the same, just wait for timers, get there with a mass amount of lag and hope you did enough damage for a good drop. I mean... not much to the game from what I played in the KR beta, but I can't lie that it was surprisingly fun. Something about Maplestory makes grinding always feel satisfying.

After hitting max level though, it's really a big social game, because grinding for items and upgrades is boring, and I couldn't spend real money to get fashion items made to sell. So I had to leave the game. Btw, setting up a controller to play this game is very easy, and nice addition.

Atm, I can't do grind fest MMOs anymore. But the graphics and fluid controls are nice. Lag doesn't really matter cuz you're zerging with a giant group to level anyway.
The PVP is completely unfair...
World bosses aren't exciting...

Meh. Lots of maps tho, that's nice. Especially if you get ahead of the pack and have to do some solo grinding.
No much flexibility with builds... you can become super gimped very easily. Not sure if they fixed that.

You definitely don't want to miss the start of the beta (if they're not wiping). Because you want to be fast on getting into the level parties in zerg areas. The more time you waste, the more lag there will be. Also, more people means less exp, but faster safer killing. So be smart about what channels you choose when zerging. If you can kill without using potions and a smaller group without wasting a second on the mobs spawn timers, then do that. Maximize your time and effort.

Well I played the release as well. It was because I played the Beta I was able to hit cap so fast in the release with the zergs.
I don't know what changes they have done over the last year.

The game is alot more User friendly i mean cmon 300% quest exp increase..I am really excited for this game

also i cant get over the fact that everytime i see this SS it reminds me of the countless times when his summons did 999999 dmg to you if they blew up on you. THE NOSTALGIA~~~

But we won't be getting the version korea has, it will take a bit of time to reach that stage, but yeah join it for the extra CBT rewards if you can.
