    Default Bless Online just exploded

With recent news about its buy and premium, and questionable price for early access, they are now flooded with people complaining about it. I am pretty neutral about the situation. At most I'll pay enough for base entry but the premium part is very sketchy.

Yeah people are freaking out lol.
I say just wait for the EA to start, for the actual nitty gritty of what is in the CS and VIP sub before buying in.
No point claiming it's the apocalypse or something. I understand the strong skepticism but man people take it too far lol

i thought this was some anime mmorpg lol, or am i thinking about a different title? "blessing" maybe?
anyway i heard this game already failed in 3 different regions, i also heard it won't have a PvE server? since pvp in mmo's tend to be 20% skill and 80% stats that's enough reason for me to not play a game.
also with founderpacks, cash shop and monthly subscription straight of the bat im just like, 'no'.

I'm more triggered about the cash shop item that prevents you from being PK'd....
They could seriously make that an ingame toggle , but they force PVP on you unless you pay real money for a timed potion...

Well you can't really simply call it a monthly subscription. It's more of paying for a monthly premium.

Well, what is this MMO like? Typical theme park where you quest to the cap and then do dungeons or PvP? Is it fun? Not saying being typical is bad but some of them are not fun.

It's a Korean mmorpg that has been published by other companies in korea, Russia, and japan. It's suppose to be pvp focus, but they have the usual dungeons for gears with a cap for dungeon entry. Fun... is sort of self define. But according 2nd hand information the population in game has died out in the three countries it was released in. Probably should expect it to be somewhat true, take it with a grain of salt type of thing. They decided to change somethings for its EA release but not everything. Things like the combat system. Though they consider it as a soft release and continue to work until it's full release. Full release is expected six month after EA release. Some time around January of next 2019. It shouldn't be expected to be a complete overhaul change like what Square Enix did to FFXIV.

Currently what everyone is worry about is how they priced for the game. The game has received a bad reputation from its past. So charging $40/$70/$200 is making this a very skeptical choice to try the game. Especially it's a 2 day head start for an early access game and is available to purchase 2 days ahead of the game. The most skeptical items are the premium membership, an additional payment for additional service, which is said to be only to receive cosmetic items. The $200 apparently comes with a weird perk which is "Premium cust**** service" and people are clueless on what that means.

I was all set to play with a group of friends for at least a month.
But with how their announcement went and the pricing on stuff we've all just thrown that idea away.
I've convinced them to all come to MS2 instead, we all had fun in the beta.

I am looking forward into this game since it was released in Korea by Neowiz. But now errr

The reasons Bless failed in Russia were:
    1. Game's weak optimization. Too many freezes, lags and fps drops. Sometimes unplayable.
2.101XP publisher ruined game's economy with game shop's items.
    3. Lack of content for solo players or small guilds.

I haven't played Bless myself, but these are the top reasons people had quit playing it in Russia and CIS.
Considering developers made big? changes, it might be worth to try. But yeah, B2P+premium sounds like a next level of greediness.

The premium is pretty bad too.

Gathering Bag: This premium bag used for Gathering provides unlimited usage within the designated time period, whereas the regular gathering bag has an limited number of uses.

: Increased amount of experience points earned through hunting monsters.

    Acquires 20% more Dungeon points
: Increased amount of dungeon points earned through playing dungeons.

I feel the gold and dungeon point bonus(provided those points are for items, assuming so here) are the kicker. EXP is whatever, but having a hard-lined economical advantage like that is less than stellar. Also the bag/pickaxe sounds like gathering tools in GW2 where you have to replace them periodically unless you spend $x for ones with infinite durability.

Had friends who played the "original" versions for this in both Russia and Korea. Was told to avoid like the plague, especially with the way the devs are handling all the criticisms behind the subscription service and all that.

Well we have gameplay footage now. The game doesn't look too interesting. I never saw anything on customizing builds for your character. More like everything is laid out, and how you use your skills and stances makes you better than others. The character creation looks fun.
I don't like the standing still fighting, but I'm not against it. Feels like a nice and welcomed throw back. I wonder how PvP is going to work. Are potions gonna be a big thing?

Premiums I don't like, because more likely than not, you need them to have fun. Then you're committed to it.

If you start this game without premium, and like the game, you're now very far behind everyone else... Your party members may have prem and you don't, so they all level or do things easier and quicker, and leave you in the dust in a dungeon or ect (cuz they're level capped). Pretty much necessary to start with premium for the off chance you do love and enjoy this game, so you're not left behind...

Well hopefully you shouldn't fall behind too bad, + with it being mostly group content you should still be able to find a group and even make some acquaintances along the way.

The combat doesn't look very exciting. I don't know if it's the class he's playing in the video, but it looks so slow.

Well the good thing to know is that this is EA. So changes are coming soon, for better or for worse. What I don't like is how they selected the emissary. Some of them didn't even signed up and was selected. They even had some that only made animal videos...

It being EA is scary. You know the game will get shut down if it doesn't get the numbers they're expecting. Also, changes to payment system will defo change under greedy EA if they control the store, and not Neowiz.

MMORPG.com did an interview and got more information about the monetization. Not sure if it's a bias piece, but it does seem like an acceptable situation now: mmorpg.com/bless/interviews/exploring-monetization-with-neowiz-1000012742

Lol why is mmorpg.com links blocked? OnRPG isn't even a competitor anymore

Anyway, check this out: The store prices are up on steam:
    https://store.steampowered.com/items...se/?filter=all

As a Canadian, I'll never buy premium. $50 for 90 days.
That's too much commitment. I can't drop $20 to test for 30 days. Especially since this is B2P.

interesting read. i dont know man, it seems borderline p2w to me even though they claim its not p2w xD
i see they let you buy Inventory expansion tickets for real money, which worries me because i've quit a game before due to lack of inventory slots, i think it was the f2p version of everquest2 but i cant remember for sure anymore.

then theres this pay to not get ganked item lol. they havent stated the price of this item, but for real money you can disable pvp for 10 minutes. that seems kinda silly and soimething they could've just made into a toggle like WoW. its like they purposely programmed in chores and annoyances so they could ask money to bypass these. now in a f2p game this would be acceptable(even though i still wouldnt play the majority because of it), but b2p? i guess ill have to play for myself before i can get really get a good feel for it, but i dont trust it.

Kind of confuse with what songz meant by EA... I meant as in steams early access. Kind of sound like Electronic Art the company.

Either way the outcome can be similar. Both ways can be scary. Electronic Art is hardly recovering ever since battlefront 2.

Yeah I dislike the mix of two myself since EA always meant the dev team, but terms change I guess. Just gotta rely on context.
I will say BF5 sounds promising from a consumer treatment perspective, provided they aren't lying about "no dlc, no loot boxes"
    Spose we'll see.

Welp game is available but it just literally exploded again. Not enough servers and because of it people get to play the login game in NA.

Well, looking at different streams and gameplay of various classes, the combat seems pretty slow paced and boring. Hopefully we'll see more stuff you can throw in between doing your combo rotation at higher levels, but so far it doesn't look very promising to me.
