    Default Is PUBG losing players?

PUBG came into our lives with a bang and alongside of forming the Battle Royale genre, was quick enough to gather a player base of millions. More games followed by PUBG remained to be the dominant force in the world of online games.

This dominance however, is steadily losing the count with each counting day. After almost a year of PUBG's rein, the game's daily player base has fell from the million count. On September, 10th PUBG lost the million player count, a feat that started last year on 8th September.

This ends a yearlong run of popularity of the game which has now started to take a downward trajectory. And this is greatly due to the increase in popularity of other games most importantly Fortnite.

the same will happen to fortnite, probably at an even faster pace. the whole battle royale genre was never unique or fun in my eyes, it comes at a surprise to me these games even became that popular. probably thanks to streamers like doctordisrespect and lirik and the likes lol. i mean right now there are 156k players just watching streamers play fortnite. each of them probably getting all hyped up to play themselves because their favorite streamer is casting. thats how i hype up myself too when playing the games i like. but when these streamers get bored of the game, the herd will soon follow.

    That is very true.
I enjoy Fortnite for what it is. I'm a fan of cartoon graphics. I wish they made a mode without all the building.

That happens because people don't want to learn to play. Pubg can be difficult for beginners, who don't know the drop zones, maps and how to survive. After several hours of dying in the first 5 minutes, you get angry and uninstall the game That pretty much what happened to me. It took me several months to return with a new approach, I came to learn to play pubg with https://gosu.ai/pubg/ a training platform that highlights all the mistakes I make and helps me to get better. Actually, it helps.

    Default Normal...

This is normal with hiper hyped games.
Win a lot of players numbers and then stabilize with a half of players in comparation with the highest peak.

I just hope the whole Battle Royale genre dies, ever since games like PUBG and Fortnite got into the spotlight it seems as if a lot of people have tried copying the formula introducing new games under this premise. I remember games like H1Z1 had the battle royale strat implemented way before PUBG, but now with all the streamers and marketing behind the genre there's nothing fresh or different being introduced/supported in the MMO community. Feels like people are looking for quick in and out action just to get that surge of energy and carry on, i miss the old days when new MMORPG's with different mechanics and storytelling were being introduced and you had to commit to these games and build your own story and experience. Playing a battle royale game is the same formula, join a lobby, kill or be killed, nothing will be different. We need more games with good storytelling that will bring a different approach experience-wise to all of the players. Might be nostalgia but back in the day when i first started playing games like Runescape or Dofus, each player had a different experience as they discovered the quests, the new enemies, the unique mechanics (both games extremely different) and that "virgin" experience on such a big game feels so good compared to the brief energy surge you get from quick matches in battle royales. Sorry for the rant i just believe the whole MMO horizon is not looking good in general as games like Fortnite or Apex Legends or the million other clones out there get all the spotlight, thus rendering useless the effort to bring something new into the table.
