    Default sexism, sex toys

i was e-chatting with a fella who shall rename nameless but he's ginger and likes japanese garage rock and used to be a mod here and he said how he thinks it's gross when men own fleshlights and how he would be hesitant to befriend one

and me, teeming with logic progressive thinking countered "well fella, how would you feel if a lady owned a dildo" and he was like yeah that's fine and i'm like "my g. you see the conundrum here surely"

anyway, what do you think about double standards in the social acceptance of sex toys and what do you think about me being smart and progressive thanks

idk i've had the same kind of e-discussion with the same fella and it always comes down to the same thing

    "it's okay for women"

    "not okay for men"

regardless of the topic... i've honestly given up at this point

also anyone here know where i could buy a fleshlight for 1.49$

I think you're really smart and progressive, thanks.

It's a dumb double-standard. Women want to use an object to orgasm. Men want to use an object to orgasm. Same thing. Who cares? People think too deep about it when all it is is men want to feel their penis squished by not their hands.

It feels like cheating for men. Like you've given up, so you buy a sex toy.
Meanwhile, for a women, it's more like they're controlling their own pleasure while all the men they've been with fail to please completely, or enough.

Look at it this way: a guy who has been with more girls is slightly more appealing because he may have more experience and confidence to control the bedroom better. A woman who has been with more guys is just unappealing and **** shamed.
Aka, a sex toy for a woman is a well accepted method of masturbation, better than using other dudes for sex (this is the mind of men, mostly north Americans). While a dude using tools to ********** just means that he has jerked off way too much and lost the sensation, also likely not getting *****.

This is just over generalization, it may not be true, however, that is the perception, and that is the reasoning behind your friends response.
    I wish I could use a pocket *****, I don't have the confidence though. Plus, I'm married.

It's just not the same. Men and women aren't equal; that's a stupid concept, and I don't believe feminism is about being equal on every single front. Like intramural professional sports just would not work.
