Reputation: 482It's a new F2P MMO that is currently having a headstart for anyone who purchases a founders pack (lowest one is $25USD). You can wait till the headstart is over and play without buying a founder's pack as well.

Non steam founders who gained access to the Headstart will have to wait until it is over to link their accounts to Steam.
Reputation: 10I'm enjoying Maplestory 2.... I don't have a Maplestory 1 background, rather a World of Warcraft / Everquest history and I'm really digging Maplestory 2....

Seems like everyone is playing Priest. What server are you guys all on and would anyone like to party up? I just started at the time of this post so I'm still a low level but I should be pretty active.

Reputation: 482I'd say it's a fun game with a lot to do. Heavy focus on quest and dungeon grind but easier to level. This in turn can end up being a negative due once you hit the cap, you'll mostly be doing dailies or social activities, if not working on alts. On the plus side, using alts is encouraged as you get some bonuses for doing so. However, the progress on some things is character specific, not account based, so if you care about working toward things like titles, you'll have to do it for each character you use.
Each class feel different to play, some a easier than others, and being able to reset your skills any time allows for you to try out different builds that work for you. The actual content can feel a bit poorly unbalanced with most normal quests being extremely easy to the point you don't even have to heal, and end game content so hard that you better hope you have a good healer on deck or good luck beating it (and in some cases that's not guaranteed with how much damage some bosses can do). There honestly doesn't feel like a solid progression of difficulty, it's basically one or the other. If you can overlook this and the general repetitiveness of it all to focus on the wide variety of collectibles/events/completion/social & creative activities there are, you'll have fun. Find a nice guild or playing with friends will def make things better and likely keep you playing.
I'd say it is a solid 8/10 worth checking out.
