Red face Does the fall of WoW mean another will take its place?

I'm honestly looking for a MMORPG similar to Tibia and UO, I've been on this forum sense like.. 2007-2005? That's before they reset usernames that's for sure... I have been waiting over half a life time for a good MMO, is their anyone else with me on that?? I liked WoW, until I realized I waisted about thousands of hours doing trades skills that were changed to a WAY simpler way to do trades skills all my work went to nothing really. Shit I guess I'd do it again on another WoW like game to see that happen to many people again\

main point being is something big in the plans to going to take over WoW?

I can play runescape on my phone, but I just can't seem to stick with anything ATM.

EX: Dark souls online, ect online.. I'd search but I think the topic holds weight..

Also where are all the action MMO's?

if you ask me, FFXIV already surpassed WoW long ago. blizzard/activision don't know what gamers want anymore.
also while the demand for a decent mmo seem to be high, no company wants to take the risk of making one anymore (besides garbage anime grinders)

hopefully we'll get something nice soon

I played FFXIV and I didn't like it because it was too hard to get into. WoW streamlines all types of players and makes it easy to get into.

I guess I'll stick with WoW..

    Default Up and coming MMOS

I would watch out for Crowfall which looks to have a fairly large following already and is in early access style play. As Well as Ashes of Creation which will still be another year or two in development but the entire game looks amazing and I believe the team can deliver what they have promised. So the next great MMO may be a year or two off but they are coming and when they hit WoW will probably be no more.

Wow has not fallen , it's the games life cycle goes up down back up than down again ... :/ remember draenor? that was the lowest it got ... we are still far from that i'd say it's in good shape ^^.

LoL you seem to be a WoW fanboy so of course you would say that. Last year in October a glitch in a new WoW addon allowed a company to see User Subscription End Dates which allowed them to estimate the total number of WoW subscribers. Before that no one knew the exact number because Blizzard refused to reveal it. As of October of last year AFTER the new expansion was out they still had less than 2 million subscribers sitting at around 1.7. SEVERAL mmos have higher subscription numbers than that like FFXIV and ESO even is close at an estimated 1.2 million subscribers for a buy to play mmo. And then if you take into consideration the other buy to play games such as Black Dessert online and Guild Wars 2 who have active members over a million, you have several games doing just as well and a few better than WoW. All it is going to take for Wow to fall below 1 million will be a new MMO that catchs like fortnite did. And with several set to release "Next Gen" MMOs in the next few years its looking to happen soon.

I don't play WoW right now (I'm on FFXIV for now), but I used to maybe 6 months ago since BfA launched, but yes WoW is still in GREAT shape as of now IF you compare it to other MMOs. But from what I experienced lately on BfA, the only thing that's making people sub are the updates. Gear progression is so RNG right now.

Despite that, WoW is still in the lead on MMO subscriptions.

FYI, the WeakAuras addon API leak from Blizz is, apparently, worldwide statistics of end date subs of people EXCEPT China. 1.7m subs in WoW excluding China just means WoW is leading by a mile.
