In short: Hearthstone tournament winner announces his support for Hong Kong protestors on a stream. Blizzard responds by taking his prize and prize money, stripping his title, banning him for a year, and sacking the two shoutcasters that were on stream with him.
The rule cited that Blizzard is holding him in violation of has to do with harming their corporate reputation. Something you'd think that would be reserved for issues like white supremacy, etc.
It's also only fair to mention that Gods Unchained (another TCG) has offered to give him the prize money that was taken, a ticket to their tournament, and has made some bold statements about free speech and censorship in the gaming sphere by corporations.
