My friend gave me this game called DIVINE DIVINITY. It has turned out to be my favorite RPG of all time. It has the graphics of Baldur's Gate 2, it's combat is like Diablo(but it's much more in depth,) it's storyline is very awesome, it's got good humor, it has tons and tons of sidequests. I've explored a whole map(Which is HUGE.) And killed all the enemies in my path, before even starting the main quest. This game reminds me of Zelda, dunno why. When you level up, you get 5 stat points to add to Strength, Agility, Intelligence, Constitution, etc. You also get 1 or 2 skills you can choose(depending on the level you get 2 at certain stages.) You have 3 main templates, Survivor(Thief), Warrior, and Mage. I chose Survivor, but I've been gaining tons of magic spells, and I probably am a better warrior than thief. I use a bow. It probably costs money but I recommend getting this game no matter what. It has SOOO much depth and freedom. Your equipment changes your look. It's like Ultima Online, but in a single player environment.
I also have this game and it pwns! Im a Warrior/Gladiator and I made an uber-combo with the combo master that I think I can even kill the last boss with 1 shot... the only bad thing is that it takes YEARS for it to "re-charge"
Dude...I use an Elite Long Bow. And I can get up to 149 damage(which is alot.) I went and destroyed the WHOLE Orc army and got the teleporter scroll for the orcs...and then I went back too the main storyline and they were still talking about the impending doom(even though I made them extinct.) I used that frost spell to freeze any big enemies so I could gain distance and shoot them too death...it made everything so easy. Oh...I forgot to mention I played this game for 30 hours on Saturday and Sunday. It's a VERY good game.
