    Default Gamestop question

When you sell a used game, do you get half-price for that game or what?

Depending on the game, it could sell from a range of 2$ to 20$, which they promptly sell to others for 50$

Hardly. You get about 1/4th the original price if it's still in good condition. 50$ brand new games you can usually get 20$ or so back. Older games, 3-9$.

Bought my Diablo 2 years ago at 7 dollars brand new.

It's in perfect condition, resale value 2.50.

Usually they don't even check the condition, if it's old it's trash so they buy it for like 3 bucks.

If it's brand new, still you're not going to get a lot of money for it. It's still 'used'.

HOWEVER, if you still had the receipt and it's unopened and you happened to receive a duplicate (this is based on something that happened to me) You can return it for full value (or buy price).

And thus you get a 100% cash refund.

However if the case has been tampered with and/or opened it's no longer considered new.
