    Default Graphic card question

I plan to buy a card soon so I come here to get advice from this smart community ():

    Conditions:
    Cost-No more than 200$
    PCI Express
Be able to run these games at least medium to high settings: Half Life 2,Battlefield 2,WoW,Doom 3,Quake 4,CoV.
The card must be buyable in retail store(preferably Best Buy,Circuit City,CompUSA) No online buying.

    Thanks for all the help

X850XT or a 7900GT will do. They are around $200.

Or better yet, why not wait it out for the new sockets, DirectX10 cards, Vista, etc. to come out? Right now is the worst time to upgrade. If you can't buy all the new stuff, the stuff that's new now will go on sale, and prices will rapidly decrease.

Is it me or are all those replies encouraging him to buy 250-300 (GT) dollar 7900 cards when he stated 200 dollar budget?

Well I looked, Circuit City will be hell considering you can get the exact same thing on newegg for nearly half the price. Best Buy site is down and Fry's is the only electronic store with the better prices. So go to Fry's.

I will list a couple cards that I found around the 200 dollar mark, yet this is based on online store prices so if you don't find them somewhere for this cheap, you're getting ripped

The ATI radeon x1600, and the 7600GT.

Those are all under 200, and even though your budget clearly says 200, I would opt for 50 dollars more and buy a Geforce 7900. The upgrade from a 7600 to a 7900 is big. And for 50 bucks, I would pay extra.
