this may seem a bit a ******ed, but i need help please!!!!
I am in a debate club, and i have this survey i have to do, but everyone in my school just ignores me, so my last resort is to use DA INTERNET!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ram is correct. Torture is inhumane, and is not acceptable in ANY circumstance. The ends do not justify the means in situations like this. If we torture terrorists, we are just sinking to their level.

America is a terrorist nation.
Everyone's got a gun, causes TERROR. The take all WMDs off other countries making them the most powerful, and if another country annoys them, they got bombed which causes TERROR. Not to mention bombing Iraq, which happened during night and people were shitting themselves left and right, which caused TERROR.

If we start to torture, we become what we are fighting.

First, you do not get to go to court. They capture you and think you are "the one", you're screwed.
About 15%-20% of those captured and tortured are innocent.
Over 250 people have already died due to US torture.
With 15% of people being innocent, that means that about 38 people have died due to torture so far that did NOTHING.
And don't give me any of that "Well, there are going to be mistakes me" bullshit!
These are innocent lives we are talking about that were tortured and killed! INNOCENT LIVES! They did nothing to deserve this.
I bet my life that if each and every one of you were captured and tortured just like every other innocent person, you too would be against this.
But you know what? YOu live in your "safe" little home where you don't need to worry about the out-side world.
Kill random innocents? Sure! It won't happen to me because I'm an america nand I am safe from that, so go ahead!

Think about it this way. Is torture really going to solve anything? If the person was innocent, then they wouldn't know anything, so does that man/woman deserve to get tortured, and sometimes die during it?
Would you ever like to torture another human being, no matter what they did. Would you?
Torture is the dumbest way to solve anything; innocent people are killed, it's wrong morally, and people don't seem to care. I bet everyone of you guys would be against torturing someone if you knew what it felt like having your skin burned/cut off/skinned. Torture is the most disgusting thing that could happen. Because torture has been proven beyond any doubt to be an extremely unreliable way of getting confessions? They might as well just line all prisoners up against a wall and shoot them, its just as productive.
And if Bush has screwed the constitution, as you put it, what makes the US so great and worth defending now anyway? Rights and freedoms are what make America a democracy, not a dictatorship like the former USSR. They're more important than you obviously think.

The constitution is what give americans their rights and freedoms. If the constitution is ignored, Americans no longer have rights and freedoms.
Edit: Americans say the US is great. Your national anthem says that America is the land of the free.
