Usually trick or treating ends around 10 - 12 for the most part. You still get teens who love the free candy though.
No one said you had to like it. I don't do anything special on holloween anymore, so I could really care less. But it was fun while it lasted was it not? Did you expect to be trick or treating when you were like 30 years old?
