They don't nescissarily mean that the free play will e3nd at 2008, they just set a a date to end the free play if they find too many free players sapping too much bandwidth and ultimatly end up costing them money.
They havebeen offering the free year of play for several years now, and that is exactly what it is. When you create a character, that character can remain part of the game for exactly one year before it's deleted. You can still play for free, but you have to create a new character, I believe. (I've ran the trial FP twice, the second time I found my first character deleted. It was a year latter)
With the inclusion of notum wars, I might have to retry this game agian; but then again, I don't really want to level on newbie island all over again.
edit: The game play is like WOW or Lineage 2 in the far distant future on a world tera formed by a selfcentered company. 3 factions exist, Oni-Tek, The Clans, and Neutrals. Omni-Tek and The Clans are enemies no matter what, so don' expect to have a buddy list inolving people from the other if you are one of them.
One of the problems that really bugs me, the game is very fight oriented. You can gain experience off of crafting, but it's not even enough to support aa newbie.
I played Anarchy for...ten minutes before. No idea what I was doing. If someone could write the features down and post some screenies, that would be greatly appreciated. Thanks a bunch.
I remember looking at this game once. I got confused and left the website . I heard its good, but now that i hear that your character gets deleted after 1 year, i no its alot of time and everything. But i dotn want to waste my time leveling up and then having that character deleted.
well if you want to see anny screnns go on the page or if you want to see movies go on www.youtube.com then search Anarchy Online then mannny movies will come enjoy^^*
so do you mean that your character will be deleted after 1 year? sounds crazy;S
Notum Wars was when they introduced territory control for guilds and added a couple of other features of which I can't remember. The two new classes came with Shadowlands I believe, so you're out of luck.
Also, Wahoo's right, AO has a LOT of *****age possible. Heck, you can make/buy yourself some implants so you can use skills and weapons above your levels (which is highly recommended by the way). Trying to remember the website for the AO database, quite huge it is, yesss.
