Reputation: 167How about considering the monthly subscription fee?
Cause your not just spending $50 bucks.
One other thing, the CD/DVD may cost $50 bucks, but when you register how much extra are you going to have to dish out in order to actually play it for the first time.
I mean, some MMORPG require you to have a CC or a game card during your registration.
If you love diablo 2 then buy Titan Quest, it's really amazing, but the multiplayer mode only allows you to play simultaneously with six players.
Reputation: 10For Lineage 2, you can download it for free. You have only the mensual abonnement to pay. You have also private servers but it is an other story.
I've played a moment Lineage 2 and i liked it, now i ve stoped it.
As you want.![]()
I Would have to say phantasy star universe,it's got more than one mode,it has free mode,(I think,Not sure though..) That let's you team up with People you've met in the single player story mode,You can dual weild weapons now,There are more types of weapons now as well,And Probably more missions and such.
I Plan to get it soon, because I played Phantasy star online (Ep. 1&2 for Gamecube,Had a level 91 HUmar with alot of rare stuff)
So I can't wait to get it,Might even play online..
I played on The Server (A you-know-what If you know what I mean)
Because I couldn't pay to play it online, but I didn't have money either..
world of warcraft, you will not be dissapointed at all.
Reputation: 167They will be dissapointed. Look at the list.
First, is it on that list? NO
Second, WoW is a beginners MMORPG. From what I see he is trying to find something with a lil more to it than a child's daycare. Sit your kid in front of WoW, and then you have the whole day to do what you want. Its a cheap babysitter.
Reputation: 10Lineage 2 - I am currently playing on the Franz server (the newest server that just released a month or two ago).
These are MMORPG boards so I'm assuming you're asking which is the best MMO. I bought Titan Quest and DO NOT buy it if you are interested in the multiplayer. There are no closed servers (aka the characters aren't server side and you don't have an acc/pw to login with). Your characters are on your cpu and you connect to other people through gamespy, but it's basically tc/ip so it can get REALLY laggy. Plus, since your chars are on the CPU you can use char editors to hack your chars to death. Also, there isn't PvP unless you play under a custom map, in other words, it's hard to find a match to fight against let alone a legit one.
Now if you can get past the multiplayer on TQ and you LOVE PvM then you might want to buy it. The storyline and combat is pretty fun but eventually the game gets REPETITIVE.
Reputation: 26Titan quest its great game if you like diablo or dungeon siege its your ticket to adventure
Yeah because phantasy star universe is a complicated game. What you stated is based merely on opinion, what level did you reach in the game? 12?
I know it wasn't on the list but WoW is probably one of the most well designed games I have had the pleasure of playing. To the original poster, if any of the games on your list dont satisfy you, try World of Wacraft. It's battle system, classes, and overall artwork and design will "wow" you like no other game. Pvp is fun(I reached rank 11), raiding is fun(if you find a good raiding guild you will have even more fun), and the overall scope and features in the game make it one of the greatest games ever developed.
A cheap babysitter? I think not. I'd like to see how a level 60 baby warrior deals with being rupture kited by a rogue, or how they would deal with a frost mage with cold snap, presence of mind, and shatter. I wonder if a baby can get a flash heal off at just the right second to ensure the main tank doesn't die during the ragnaros fight in molten core. How will a baby ever find a good grinding spot to get that epic mount? I hope as a baby that pally I grouped with cleanses me as I fight off a warlock in tier 4 gear who is DoTting me up and fearing me like theres no tommorow. Oh, I'm sorry I forgot your level 13, I must have lost you around the time I mentioned "level 60 baby warrior deals.."
PSU of course. Its single player is much better than the previous games i heard, and its free until you decide to play online. BUT the game is one which ends up with you either hating it or loving it.
i agree with what TeamOX said about Lineage 2 & FFXI
Final Fantasy XI: Requires loads of patience , it starts to get fun once you start unlocking advanced jobs and such
Lineage 2: its not as fun until higher lvls like 40+ otherwise your stuck grinding and questing im sure
Phantasy Star Universe: Bought the game myself its very fun in both online mode and story mode so if you feel like you have been grinding forever on online mode you can take a break from it & do story mode ^^
sry thats all i can tell you ^^
