Firefox faster?

I just got Firefox (I'd had it before, but the really old one and my dad din't trust it.) but anyhoozle, now I have spell check automatically in everything, this theme with cats (don't ask...) and this thing that can download embedded video (I already have the song, but the video was real good!) and it seems...faster. even without fasterfox, its running really fast. is it supposed to be faster, or is it just me?

well all my browsers are slower than they should be (make sense i got a cable modem ) anyway firefox is slower than IE for me.. However i hate IE because all the pop ups and what not

yeah, i got the same case with the cable modem so for me IE is a little bit faster

yeah it dl faster, and you dont get as much pop ups, it saves like 5 min a week 5 min you can use to masterbate...

Thats actully a little trick of the eye.
You see, FF waits a few secounds so that the basic layout of the page is loaded before it starts displaying the page. It makes it LOOK slower, but you get a nice looking page right away.
IE just displays it as it loads it, so it seems like it's faster, but in reality it's not.


There is a way to turn that off in FF. Can't remember where, but google it and something should be found
