Well the first and main thing to tell them is it will definitely help with furthering your education if thats a route you choose to take. Depending on some jobs, its possible to leave your advanced training after basic training with degrees or at least a lot of college credits. On top of that, your able to get out of the house and on your own. As for the income, I couldn't tell you exact numbers but its probably around 30-40k a year or something. Quick guess. But then you don't pay for anything really except for the stuff you buy. Its a life changing choice, so hopefully you have some time to think about whats gonna happen and give your parents enough time to grasp the idea.
