League Schedule and Prize Pool Released:
22nd January, 2007
Expressions of Interest
Through our forum threads and polls, EOI will be measured on topics ranging from competitive interest, rules, preferred match time and days, tournament formats and more. In taking in these responses from DotA competitors we will be able to gauge how the community wants the league run. We are open to all suggestions and encourage teams to take part in putting them forward through our newly opened DotA forums.
Registrations and Fee Collection
Registrations will open on the 22nd of December 2006 and will run straight through to the 19th of January 2007. Registrations will be done online through our partners website at Mwave where team captains will be able to purchase a spot for their team to compete in the league, there is also the option of paying cash at affiliate net-cafés during specified times where a Pantheon administrator will be available to collect fees. The team captain will then register their team through Pantheon with all of their members required to sign up and confirm attendance. This process is finalised by the invoice number from the teams Mwave PNDL purchase or net-café cash purchase.
League Schedule and Prize Pool
Once all teams have been confirmed and then finalised the complete Prize Pool and League Schedule will be released. This will include dates and times for every match included within the League up until we have found ourselves the top 4 DotA-Allstar teams in Australia to be flown expenses supported to our LAN finals. The date and times will be determined through EOI submissions made through our DotA forums. The Cash Prize Pool will be determined through how many teams register for the competition with a minimum of $2,000. This will be backed with Gift Prize contributions of hardware from our affiliates, with direct league sponsors announced between now and the release of the Prize Pool.
Volunteers and Referees
As with all online and LAN tournaments, it is the people who help run the event that make it possible. Along with the sponsors, the media coverage and the competitors, the volunteering members of the community are the ones who contribute to the backbone of the event. We are in need of enthusiastic, energetic and fair gamers who are able to contribute some of their time in making this league as successful as possible.
