No clue what the problem is, it went just naturally for me without any thinking.
Iirc, after you login, there are 2 buttons on the lowerright corner. First is create char, second is delete. If you click the first button on lowerright corner it takes you to the select class screen where you can type in a name and create your char.
To login, you select your created char in the upperright corner, select a channel (1,2,3 or 4nopk-test) in the upperright corner, then press the button under your char in the center of your screen.
I haven't tried so maybe, very maybe there are no new chars allowed due to serverload which is very unlikely.
