The game is set during the 15th century, the century of the great voyages. It is the most important turning point in our history. Many historians say it is the time when the world's history truly began. Before this period, people on Earth lived on different isolated continents or land masses. On each of these lands, nobody knew for sure whether the Earth is flat or round, but they all thought they are located at the middle of the Earth. Because of the explorations, all the people around the world become finally connected with one another, become able to affect one another. As the time progress, from the enlightenment ideas at first, to the great revolutions, to the first industrial revolution and then the 2nd and 3rd industrial revolution or the information revolution, our human race have progressed a substantial amount in a comparatively very short amount of time. Exploration is started because of gold, glory and God, without these motives/drives, it is possible that we would still live in the middle ages on different isolated lands...
