my itunes is ruining the sound quality of all my music, brining it down to less than radio quality, it sucks. I just want some music, and half of my stuff is itunes purchased: mpeg4. this is a ***** for finding a compatible player for, and my iPOD is not working. does anyone have a recommendation for me, besides itunes? I know it is not my speakers, or my sound card, because windows media player sounds fine with mp3 files, and the mpeg4's downloaded perfectly, so they aren't corrput/broken. if not that, can someone tell me how to convert them? (yes, i understand about DRM, but I did buy them, and thus I feel I have that right...)
You will have to search the web for a program that removes the DRM. the moment you do that the file becomes illegal, the same as if you downloaded and didn't pay for it and you could be charged the same if you were caught.
Bullshit? Yes, but thats how it is. Just so you know.
As for player, winamp ftw.
It's got full ipod support, so thats covered, and it supports nearly all file formats
by defualt, and what it doesn't support you can find a plug-in for.
I think Fabian just about covered it all. Most, if not all, media players can now play MP4 files. Such as Foobar, KMPlayer, ZoomPlayer, or any other media player. Winamp is the easiest, and the best really. Mainly because of it's relatively low memory use and it's plugins.
