Oh I WISH Blizz made a WoW movie.... I'd praise them if they did that.

Reputation: 26Its probably not half as popular if the game was called"world of heros"or something like that. Its because the warcraft franchise has been used repeatdely as a powerful consumer product. Think of Grand theft auto its a game that sucked until they brought it into 3d. then boom they send vice city and san andreas as a consumer pleaser. People like it and its a product that is basically copied over and over again. World of Warcraft changes its RTS genre to RPG and its not that great but people still like it because it has warcraft in the name

I would agree with you, but I have played enough of Diablo and Warcraft series to know that most of their players are too stupid to ever move on, they don't play video games, they play Blizzard games.
And as far as movement goes in combat Knight online sparks my interest more than WoW.
Sorry if I offended anyone.
Reputation: 10WoW is so successful coz 90% of MMO players these days are carebears and do not like risk in PvP. People these days care nothing about a game if it does not have glowing weapons/armor/items and VERY HARSH PvP restrictions. WoW is an unbalanced pile of crud for PvP. You can ask any real PvP player about WoW and they will say the same as I just did. PvP is not just about making somones day hell, its about balance and team work, not a bunch of people with 0 skill that have items that make them gods they are able hide behind. If my post makes you mad, I can say the truth hurts.
WoW is on the top of the pile on the wuss wagon of fruity MMO's. WoW is a game made for little girls and 45/50 year old dudes coverd in fruit punch stains.
True, and sadly a lot of the WoW PVPers are the types that will PVP just to piss you off, to gank you thousands of times because they have nothing better to do, and then when you try and speak up about that every PVPer in WoW goes "reroll pve server noob carebare" which makes WoW's PVP even worse than it is
That doesn't mean its not a good game though :P
Reputation: 10yeah, with 8 million people, the number of people like that increase, but if the mmorpg has less ammount of people, the nmber of people like that decrease because it's just like that, i don't know how to explain it well but if you know what i'm talking about, then okay, if not, then okay, idk lol
but i'm one of those people who says wow sucks and that i like to play free games and korean games because i am one of those little 12 yearold boys that his mommy and daddy said nono to wow and that i can't play it so i find excuses like saying it sucks and that it is popular because of this and that.
The free trial is a nice touch, i just wish it would offer more. Anarchy is f2p till 2008. If WoW was like that then i wouldm play it 24/7 for being a great game. The burning crusade expansion is also popular, but i only have the trial CD, so ill need a little time to finish testing the 2 weeks trial before i look into the burning crusade expansions.

sure, and that WoW movie sure looked like a real project ... mix carnaval times and planet of the apes and there's your screenshot.
anyway, about korean game markets. Koreans just seem to be happy with very little concerning games. i think in korea, people make a diffirence with a high quality game and a 'normal' game whenever there's like the smallest diffirence. I think an MMO which has other features than grinding is either great or headen in Korea
